Scott Embry’s Saturday Pingrup Preview Posted on March 12, 2026March 13, 2026 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DYNAMITE BAY is 3 from 3 undefeated at the Pingrup Cup meeting. The 11 year old will goa around ~$1.30/$1.35 as he looks to keep that record in tact and given he bolted in under the 71kg at Kojonup expect that he’ll safely lock it away. Jump and run – straight to the top and don’t look back. TORQUED UP won really well at Carnarvon in a C1 1200 and then ran a few placings in Derby/Roebourne too. No issues with the surface and no doubt targeted at this meeting/race. DOUBLE RUSH and LADY TORNADO have both raced at Pingrup previously and run minors. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – DYNAMITE BAY WIN RACE 2 SCHUHBECK is certainly not an easy horse to catch: 52: 2-12-6 and loves doing things wrong and running second, however, this is a pay Win Only 4 horse field and his form lines are superior to rivals? Fourth in a C3 to Pingers (now Saturday winner) and Rolling Ruler (now Saturday winner), fourth to So Immaculate, 4.5L off Desert Waves (races at Ascot), and under 4L off a flying Prawns Eleven. Surely he goes close? FOUR SEAS is more trustworthy (not difficult!) and should race right over the speed. Does make sense. I’M THAT GIRL is trained locally. Huge help. NO SECOND THOUGHTS ran well at Kojonup. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – SCHUHBECK WIN RACE 3 MAGNASONIC has been going quite well this prep. The fresh run to Pingers is the same form line as Schuhbeck brings in the previous, and most recently finished only 3L off Eternal Wine / Desert Life in a C3 1000 at Bunbury. Should hold a prominent spot and go well in a race of this nature. PRIVATE SAPLING was kept quite safe in betting at York and wasn’t disgraced behind Magic Belle. HEY BULL attacks this first-up no trial and can show some early toe (albeit usually over further). ONLY BY THE NIGHT won by panels at Port Hedland one day, not much form either side though. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – MAGNASONIC WIN RACE 4 DEW TELL is coming through a winner producing race at Belmont. Slip The Jab won a C1 Wednesday, Mandible Magic won a maiden Wednesday and Roaming American also won a maiden Wednesday – that form is hot (in the metro area) and this is an 1160m maiden at Pingrup. Great chance for Annaya Pateman to train a winner. CHASON WINS was a $4.20 chance at Barker fresh and was held tight leaders back. Think this track/conditions will suit her. ARCTIC FOX is fit coming out of Esperance and could nearly lead them early which is huge. WHISKY FEVER has trialled up alright on a couple of occasions Numbers: 7 – 4 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – DEW TELL WIN RACE 5 POWER TO RULE was stepped out over 1500m last start in a maiden Handicap at York and never looked like being run down. He was comfortable leading and rolling and put an extending 4L margin on them late. Ridden in that exact same manner will make him hard to run down at Pingrup. Staying out of trouble and kickback is key. HOT CHATTER finished third in a C3 1600 behind Shamilian Miss (subsequent 60+ Graduation winner) five starts ago when leading. Can bounce back to that level. IFFUBLUSH does plenty of racing/trialling. MISSIJAY slides forward into a spot on the back-up. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – POWER TO RULE WIN RACE 6 STRIKING FELLA ran third in the Mt Barker Cup to Deadly and Fast. We’re talking about a horse who won the Cable Beach Caravan Park Cup at Broome, ran second the Kimberley Cup and then jumped $8 in a Broome Cup. He has 58kg after the Ava Catarino claim and won the Pingrup Cup by 1.5L in 2025. Looks a big chance of history repeating. UNI QUEEN walked in at Kojonup and then nearly out toughed them in the Ladies Bracelet. Going super for Casey Hunter. ARGYLE STAR was first-up at 1400m at Esperance and held her own. Better suited at this trip. MAGIC MIKEY will get a bit off speed but can sustain a run. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – STRIKING FELLA WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2,4 4,5,7 1,5 3 Market Market
