Scott Embry’s Saturday Leinster Preview Posted on October 14, 2022October 14, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 IT’SATRAP won a trial over 1000m at Belmont Park as a 2 year old leading into her debut and went around favourite down the straight at Pinjarra Park. Was beaten 5L and then was tipped out. Has had a number of trials since then and should be too quick for them over the short course at Leinster. SILVER SAX has had a freshen and can stalk the speed. SECOND CHOICE has dirt experience but may need further. DYNAMITE GREY was an improver last Friday at Leonora. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – IT’SATRAP WIN RACE 2 FLYING ARABIAN gets back to a 1000m scamper which should suit. Both Flying Arabian and Snow Princess finished second at the Leonora meeting last Friday. Flying Arabain second to Whim Creek in a 64+ which was run 3.5L faster than average and Snow Princess in a 56+ run 1.5L faster than average. Siding up with Flying Arabain to be simply too speedy for them. SNOW PRINCESS was no match for Old Bailey last week. Gets a great chance to go close again. CONTESSA MEDICI should get a good run and has trialled well. BITOVEMU showed a glimpse last week. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – FLYING ARABIAN WIN RACE 3 OLD BAILEY just needs to run out a strong 1400m to be winning this. Looked a special last Friday at Leonora and absolutely destroyed them winning by over 5.5L in a canter. Proved that he’s a nice dirt commodity and he only rises 1kg and takes on weaker opposition. The only query will be the end of the 1400. MISS SILVERSPINGS is likely to sit in second throughout and will keep coming. LAYLO was backed off the map last Friday but just doesn’t seem to handle the dirt. WAR CLASS will be run off his legs early. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – OLD BAILEY WIN RACE 4 SALCHINO was astutely found in betting last Friday at Leonora and was beaten the narrowest of margins behind Time To Thunder, beating home Aboard. This race looks weaker than what she contested last week and on the back-up and with the added dirt experience she should go close to breaking through. SO BE IT made his debut in a maiden handicap at Belmont behind Anyoldtime and Invincible Strike. Handy form for Leinster. NEW PRINCESS and MISS BRIGHTON will both whack away. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – SALCHINO WIN RACE 5 TIME TO THUNDER was a Class B winner at Leonora and will look to reproduce in a 52+ 8 days later. Was crunched in betting and won accordingly. Jerry Noske rides these venues as well as anyone and see no reason why he can’t go close to reproducing the result. JONO is a long time maiden but this is clearly the weakest race he has ever seen. Has been racing well on the grass this time in. Looks the danger. THE FINEST is a bit hit and miss. The best of him would be winning this. BOBCAT BOY is a last start winner at Landor. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – TIME TO THUNDER WIN RACE 6 THE DIVINE WIND was able to kick back underneath of Nicklaus in the Leonora Cup and score a gritty victory. Nicklaus doesn’t proceed to the Leinster Cup so on face value this race looks weaker. He only rises half a kilo and should march across into a near identical position in running. Makes him the obvious horse to beat. MIDNIGHT BLACK turned it on last week at Leonora when sweeping around them and trading $1.06 from the 800m. Dominant. MAJORA’S MASK was below his best last week and can rebound. REUCOOP showed something at Meekatharra. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – THE DIVINE WIND WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1 1,5 FD 2 Market Market
