Scott Embry’s Saturday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on March 27, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 RED DIRT BOY resumes first-up, no trial with blinkers on. At his second career start he was able to run fourth beaten only 2L by War Secrets. That is good enough form considering that only 1L in front of him was Concrete Madame and he beat home Dirty Dot. Gets his chance here. WHIM CREEK trialled well alongside stablemate Last To The Line who goes around as second favourite in an Ascot metro maiden. ELUSIVE INTENT was beaten a long way at trials but draws well. BLOOMS an improver at a new yard. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – RED DIRT BOY WIN RACE 2 NATIVE CHIMES has now had her fair share of starts and is yet to crack it for a maiden win but she looks a nice acquisition to the Cambana Lodge team. All of her form is in the metro and provincial area and she looks like taking beating here. PROMISSION has run good races down in Esperance. TRUMP CALL looks like needing every inch of the trip but can go well. REDWOOD RANSOM leads soft and should give cheek. Numbers: 9 – 10 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – NATIVE CHIMES WIN RACE 3 VENA SCHNITZEL has only had the one start this preparation and it was well and truly out of her grade. She ran 12th of 14 but only beaten 5L in a Provincial Championship Series Heat. That was a C5 and she sat over a speed which was 4L faster than average. Back in grade, shades on, could surprise a few. WEBLEY DAYZ was impressive late last campaign and can skip along. INDIAN CHANT is flying since joining MR Peter Fernie. Great ride for Victoria Corver but not easy drawn on Charles Street. SCREAM IN BLUE is capable. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – VENA SCHNITZEL EACHWAY RACE 4 TAJMALI should have this field covered first-up. She looks like the kind of mare who could go through the grades this preparation and end up in the metro area. If that is the case she should be winning this moderate C2 event. ORACHINO probably falls into the most winnable race so far this campaign. WATTO’S FURY doesn’t go at Esperance. All Kalgoorlie form super. MOONLIGHT’S REWARD more than handy on his day. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – TAJMALI WIN RACE 5 PARADISE SQUARE drawn the inside gate can box seat behind what looks a solid tempo on paper, especially if Metro Boy is to actually head to the races. From there Beaux Edwards should be able to give him the run of the race and he’s super consistent. MY DEMI ran well fresh and is capable of lumping weight. METRO BOY would be hard to beat if they do make the trip with him. IT’S DYNAMITE looks like getting a fair way back but has a sharp turn of acceleration. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – PARADISE SQUARE WIN RACE 6 MAGNIFORCE has been a surprise packet ever since arriving at the stables of Trevor Tasker. Showed nothing before a huge grass maiden win and since then has only gone from strength to strength, especially when leading and rolling. Should be able to kick through and lead from 3 and from there is the one they have to run down. BARTRADER was huge at Ascot first-up. DAWN ARMADA has exclusively metro form to her name but a big weight. LADY LE JEAN has put it together and is racing extremely well. Numbers: 6 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – MAGNIFORCE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2,5,7 8 2,3,5,6 3,6 Market Market
