Scott Embry’s Saturday Esperance Preview Posted on November 21, 2024November 21, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MAIDS TESTIMONY ran a big race at his first start for Ricky Moss at Bunbury in early October when finishing 4L off Boussac and subsequent winners Universal Hotness and Lethal Weapon. Backed up 8 days later and wasn’t disgraced again behind Bond Master. Freshened, blinkers on and into a country maiden. A lot to like. KEEP A KNOCKIN ran second at Bunbury first-up last campaign and can hold a spot from the inside draw. KIMBERLEY ROSE heads back into a maiden and her run two back at Kalgoorlie was luckless. QUEEN OF CHAOS could be on a jump and run mission. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 13 – 8 Suggested Bet – MAIDS TESTIMONY WIN RACE 2 ROYAL ACCOLADE has promised to win a maiden for seasons and first-up, no trial at Kalgoorlie at his first outing for Josh Brown in Kalgoorlie was beaten a nose by Brazen Empress who went on with. That was off 102 days at 1100, this is off 139 days at 1100m. Very similar set up and hopefully just a short half head better result. TAPITLIKEITSSASSY trialled quite well back in July at Belmont Park. On debut without another trial – market watch. ALOTTA FIGHTING ran really well on debut. Keep safe. PRIZED JEWEL should be a handy acquisition for Paul Tapper. Numbers: 1 – 12 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – ROYAL ACCOLADE WIN RACE 3 BOOZEROO won a 64+ 1100 first-up, no trial at Esperance at this exact meeting in 2023. He was plunged in betting that day and if the money comes for him again (money always comes for Josh Brown’s) then we’ll be jumping on the bandwagon. COCOON BAY won a 58+ at Kalgoorlie back in August and can run well fresh (won a C2 1200 first-up at Albany in January for Steve Wolfe). The booking of Tash Faithfull tells the story. Big respect. MUNGO JERRY won well at Kalgoorlie over the round. Just needs to overcome the barrier. SO LIKEABLE is a more than capable horse when he’s right. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – BOOZEROO WIN RACE 4 BORN AND BREAD won a C3 1000 at Ascot back in May 2024 and then in two runs at Kalgoorlie at the end of her preparation wasn’t quite at the same level. This is a nice starting point for her, apart from the fact that 59kg could be on her limit. AURIEL is a newcomer to WA. Always be wary of the Rob Payton runners fresh. CHARCOAL CHAOS hasn’t raced in a year but has a big L600 on him. PARADISE STAR was a really honest and consistent campaigner last season. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – BORN AND BREAD WIN RACE 5 FLOBA finally broke through last start for Brett Drury and now heads back to the care of original WA trainer Nicholas Thomas. Considering that he beat Blitzem Babe and she went to York and toyed with them it looks the right form line. HUGHBERT and CRUNCHY NUT are both more than capable types resuming for Helen Harding. Wouldn’t be dismissing either of them sprinting well fresh. BLAZING PASSION has been an Esperance regular for a few seasons now with great success. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – FLOBA WIN RACE 6 BIG BAD BAGGINS ran them ragged on debut when leading all the way in a Northam maiden. Immediately out for a spell and now returns to the races in an Esperance C2 with Helen Harding. Straight to the front and catch me if you can. ALWAYS AWESOME ran some handy races in 3 year old company when last in work with Simon Miller. Should be a great pick up for Joanna Offen. TRUE CHANCE was a work in progress last season. LADY DUCATI has settled into life with Neil Dellar well and is another chance in an open and even race. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 13 Suggested Bet – BIG BAD BAGGINS WIN Market Market
