Scott Embry’s Saturday Carnarvon Preview Posted on July 18, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 IN THE MOSH PIT is first-up this preparation and has the necessary gate speed to hold the front from the inside. Over the 1000m fresh looks hard to beat. PATRONISM is the stable-mate and certainly never gave up the chase last start in a strong effort. Clear danger. STAR MAGNET can bob up with the right run. GRAND OPENING has his first start for Jane Hossell and will be winning races. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – IN THE MOSH PIT WIN Race 2 FARALON bolted in first-up in an extremely fast run race. One of the highest rating races of the season. He should simply prove too strong here. ESPRESSO LASS has hit form since joining the yard of Michelle Valentine. Stalks the speed and should go well. BOLSHOI BANDIT and BULL BAILEY are both ultra-consistent types. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – FARALON WIN Race 3 BROTHER RAND won a 56+ race two starts ago when sitting on speed and beating a stronger field than what he meets here. Last start was never in the contest in a race which was run lengths above benchmark and you can forgive and forget. Should bounce back here. BOBCAT BOY has been everywhere in WA and is honest. STRATUM PASS improves for the dirt experience. THUNG LIFE won well last start and can go on with it. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – BROTHER RAND WIN Race 4 WHAT A DROP has been going well of late and looks to have found a winnable assignment. This is not a deep race and from the draw should get a nice run just off the lead. SWIFTLY continues to hit the line hard and is handling the track conditions. KING OF PLANETS was not disgraced at his first start on the dirt. LADY VITAL won a weak maiden but did it nicely. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – WHAT A DROP EACHWAY Race 5 PORTRAIT LAO comes from a strongly run race and a form reference which looks like holding up. Usually improves at every run in the preparation and should be peaking here. ROSA FILENTE came from the clouds last start and has really hit a purple patch. Obviously hard to beat. GOOD MORNING is going well but likely tramps deep. PROUD HISTORY is always worth novelty inclusion. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – PORTRAIT LAO WIN Race 6 WOOMERA is back. He dominated Carnarvon last season with three all the way wins. Has had injury trouble but if he can return figures anywhere near what he was recording last preparation he should be winning. NET PROFIT absolutely loves Carnarvon winning 8 of his 13 assignments. Fresh form is super, he’ll be hard to beat. MEGAMIND has race fitness on his side. 1200m is on the short limit for him. CORPORATE LARRIKIN could skip away if allowed to run. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – WOOMERA WIN Race 7 BEHROOZ suffered his first defeat in the region last start. That was a fair few weeks between runs after the rain. Expecting Bennett to let him run and prove hard to chase down. NEWMARRACARRA had his measure fair and square last start. Looks the danger again. ARGOON sits behind the leading pair and gets last crack at them. MAGNATION is lightly raced and only a C1 but David Black does a super job with his team. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – BEHROOZ WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,4,6 1,3 1,5 1,2 Market Market
