Small field, no stand out and showed last week that he can travel. HANDYMAN may find himself left alone in front and can be an improver stepping out in trip. STAR OF VEGAS should be suited by the small field. Was eye catching two starts ago. SPEEDY JUSTICE showed improvement last week. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – OUTSPOKEN DUKE WIN Race 2 MEGAFACTORY is as honest and consistent as they come in the region. He should settle just off the speed and be winding up hard late. Always right in the finish and building well towards a tilt at the Bracelet. CHERABIN was a strong return to racing this preparation and usually improves through the campaign. FERNGROVE is a last start winner but the query is dropping back in trip. SALAMAAT looks the best of the rest. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – MEGAFACTORY WIN Race 3 SHREWD GAMBLE has had his fair share of chances over a long maiden career. This is start number 25 and start number 1 on dirt. But he race fit, drawn well and the one of the best dirt combinations around at the minute is Yuill & Pateman. FRANK’S REWARD is yet to run a bad race in Broome. Should be breaking his maiden soon. MAYBE ONE MORE is not the most brilliantly away so drawn wide is probably a blessing in disguise for him. Should work into it three deep. AXEL FOLEY showed ability at trials and is another who will break maiden status sooner rather than later. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – SHREWD GAMBLE WIN Race 4 CHIN STRAP at his best would blow this field to pieces. Punters will have their hearts in mouths as the gates open because drawing gate 1 is often a poison chalice for horses having their first start on dirt. FROSTY BAY is a little bit of a query stepping out in trip but is capable of finding the front here and his last two efforts, even though beaten a fair way, have been very good. RAKNIKAR and SING FOR US DAN are both honest and consistent types. Good race. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – CHIN STRAP WIN Race 5 SENSE OF DENIAL is the obvious on paper. Strong winner of three of her four starts in Broome. The biggest concern should be the fact that his one ‘poor’ performance was backing up off 7 days as she is here. DESERT THORN has gone very well since arriving in the region. Shows speed so should position up nicely from the gate. WELL SPOKEN MAN has to lump a big weight but makes his own luck out in front. COOL KNIGHT typically races off speed, interesting to see how he goes. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – SENSE OF DENIAL WIN Race 6 GLORYLAND was attacked a long way from home and unusually against his pattern was unable to break the field open a long way from home. Looking for him to be allowed to roll here. BALLIDU BOMBER should be suited by the aggressive riding style of Simone Altieri. Watch the ride on I’m A Bluebagger last week in race 5, that’s as good as it gets. SLICK TALKER down in weight can play a part in the finish. HAVANA ran an improved race last week.
