Scott Embry’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on April 26, 2019April 29, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PATRISTIC has returned this campaign with three strong placings. This is the weakest race he has contested on paper and looks likely to sit in the breeze or even cross to lead. Get his chance. FLAT BICCY lead them up in a C3 last start on a day which was suiting those swooping off the fence. He draws the inside and leads or box seats. DIVINE QUEST was a hard watch last start when finding traffic then entire. Previous maiden win was authoritative. MAJORA’S MASK is building nicely. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – PATRISTIC WIN Race 2 THE NINTH HOUR is the winner of two from four and arguably should have gone very close when third behind I am Incredible and Dia De La Raza at Belmont last season. He sits midfield and comes down the center. Can prove too classy. TIME TO TRADE is a speed demon and a hard horse to ride. Goes best for Alan Kennedy and drops in grade. TO RISE AGAIN ran time down the straight and has no weight on his back. LORD GREYSTOKE improved last start. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – THE NINTH HOUR WIN Race 3 SOY TAN RAPIDO has returned to racing in style posting all the way wins at her last two starts. Up in grade but still down in the weights after the 3kg claim. Looks like leading again and can produce a hattrick. NEW TIME is an 11 year old and probably not known as a 1200m horse but he can sit outside Soy Tan Rapido and give a sight. ROCKAFELLA trialed well and then was beaten before the corner first-up. Blinkers on and Noske on, improves. ALTA SULL’AMORE can be the blowout from three back the fence. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – SOY TAN RAPIDO WIN Race 4 PALACE ROGUE and TWENTYTHREE RED can both clear those on their inside and lead this field. They are both more than capable stayers when controlling the speed and they look the two they’ll all have to run down in an evenly graded affair. BRONZE WING is a real grinder who should get the right run. NAVY BLUE will be hoping the speed goes on. Hard horse to catch but good enough on his day. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – PALACE ROGUE EACHWAY Race 5 INFLATION is only coming out of a Class 1 race into a Graduation but the form could prove strong if Patristic was to salute in the opener. From the gate Parnham likely leads but can take a sit if he so elects. From there he is the onet o run down. STOICISM is a 66+ winner and a two time fresh winner returning on the back of two strong trial performances. Will be hard to hold out. VERMONT LADY has had no luck all preparation with barrier draws and then the saddle slipped last week. She is ready. BEL MY PAGO was possibly a shade disappointing last start but can bounce back. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – INFLATION WIN Race 6 SPECIAL REWARD was caught three deep early last start before sliding to the top and skipping away. Likely sits in the breeze here outside of speedy Goldfields galloper Senorita Bonita. If he finds that position it should be all over. MARKET RULER is a query at 1200m but she is all class. It will take her a long way and she was good first-up in the Charleson. DIABLERIE has come back in sensational form since joining the stables of Brock Lewthwaite. No match for Special Reward last two but gets big weight pulls. SENIORITA BONITA can lead the up for a long way. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – SPECIAL REWARD WIN Race 7 NEW AGE simply looks a class above rivals. She should sit midfield and join the three wide train from the 600 and march over them in similar style to what she did last start. DISCOVILLE was ridden to perfection last start by Mauritian apprentice Brandon Louis and should get a similar soft run in transit. TONKATUFF always rates well in this grade but his last two performances have left a bit to be desired. ROYAL STRATA a definite blowout chance if Justin Warwick backs her up off 2 days. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 2 – 11 Suggested Bet – NEW AGE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,67,8,9,11,12 1,3,7,8 2,5,7 1 Market Market
