Scott Embry’s Friday Broome Preview Posted on July 24, 2019July 25, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ATACAMA SKY. Could today be the day? Almost 1000 days since his last win in December 2016 when he beat Dainty Tess. Two runs in Broome have both been excellent and he chased really hard last time out. 1100m is his go and if Palise can cross the stablemate he actually looks incredibly hard to beat. Go you good thing. SAXON PRINCESS has relished the trip up North and looks the danger. ALI BARBER has his first start on the surface but has speed. DOLCITY next best. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – ATACAMA SKY WIN Race 2 CORPORATE STRATEGY is a query at a mile but back into 58+ company should be hard to beat. Can settle forward of midfield and if he stays the trip he can out class them. TOM ALMIGHTY MELBOURNE just doesn’t want to win. He’ll be right in the finish again but doubt he wins. NEVARDA dropping back to a mile suits and could find the front. KOSTYAZILCH an improver. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – CORPORATE STRATEGY WIN Race 3 JELANI EXPRESS vs A GOOD PLAN has been a few meetings coming and loyal dirt racing followers finally get the clash they’ve been waiting for. JELANI EXPRESS comes out of far weaker grade but the times he has been running don’t lie and provided he can jump with A Good Plan he’ll take serious beating at 1200. A GOOD PLAN is a Broome specialist. If this was 1100 he’d be on top. WELL SPOKEN MAN is consistent as they come. UNBREAKABLE is building into the prep. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – JELANI EXPRESS WIN Race 4 FUTURIST is an extremely consistent commodity. Will come out running from an outside gate and if he gets across will be right in the finish. Even race with only a length or two between the top five. He can win this. VISTA VIEW found the front and fought them off in maiden company. Interesting to note that Altieri jumps ship. CALAG went close at his Broome debut and is another winning chance. FLASH OF THUNDER has been disappointing since arriving but this is the weakest race he has seen. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – FUTURIST WIN Race 5 PAIR OF FIVEZ should nearly cross them from the outside gate and from there he is the one to catch. Has been going very well since heading up to Broome for a stable who are in pretty good form. MYBAK has improved at each start on the dirt. Not usually brilliantly away, interesting to see where he lands drawn the inside. AXEL FOLEY showed a bit more last start after two below par runs. VIGNETO was poor last start but previous runs were good. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 3 – 12 Suggested Bet – PAIR OF FIVEZ WIN Race 6 DIAMOND TONIQUE was a little flat on face value at his return to Broome but when you break down the sections of the race the reigning Broome Cup winner was simply left flat footed in a race which was a sit, sprint affair. This should be more genuinely run and he can turn the tables. ALREADY FAMOUS drifted like he only had 3 legs first-up in a bizarre betting race. He proved the market wrong and won well. Looks again hard to beat. SHIBUYA CROSSING was attacked a long way from home last start and was brave. BIG BLOWS continues to improve at each start for Michelle Hagley. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – DIAMOND TONIQUE WIN Race 7 CAPE SOUNION is well placed in this field. Was run off his feet at his first two starts in Broome when Gulberti was probably learning what kind of horse he was. He bolted in third up in a moderate Trophy race at Derby and then found the mile and probably 64+ grade just a little sharp. Back to 1300, back to 58+ and with a flying Kayla Cross in the saddle he looks hard to beat. SONG OF VINCENT was no match for the likes to Jelani Express and Salty last start, can bounce back. IN THE BAG was able to lead and control a weak race last start. RED GLOW should be ready to show his best and his best is good enough. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – CAPE SOUNION WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,3,4 1,3,9 1,3 3 Market Market
