RACE 5 No. 2 Alizee

Godolphin trained filly who really relished the step up to 1400m winning the Tea Rose here a fortnight back. Given a quieter ride than her previous couple of outings she finished full of running once into the clear racing away over the concluding stages. From the wide gate tomorrow expect another cold ride and another strong finish.

RACE 6 No. 1 Chautauqua

Although we know his ultimate aim is the 10 million dollar Everest in couple of weeks I still feel he’s close enough to his top to give his opposition plenty to think about tomorrow. He was only warming up late in The Shorts here a fortnight back over 1100m and will lap up the additional trip and certainly benefit fitness wise. Look out late!

RACE 8 No. 5 Big Duke

Victorian visitor from the all-conquering Darren Weir yard who just might be ready to hit his straps tomorrow. He’s had three runs back from a break and although unplaced on each occasion his figures stack up well and without doubt he’ll appreciate the step up to 2400m. He’s a Group 2 winner here at Randwick over 2600m and placed in the Sydney Cup last year over the 2 miles. Improvement very likely.
