Chris’ Randwick Best Bets Posted on January 20, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No. 1 Guard Of Honour Kris Lees trained 3yo who resumes tomorrow off the back of a couple of recent easy barrier trials at Wyong and Warwick Farm running 2nd on each occasion. A first up winner last campaign accounting for a good field in the Listed Heritage Stakes run here at Randwick. Although giving weight to all his rivals tomorrow he should still prove too strong. RACE 7 No. 2 Ninth Legion Trainer Peter Robl and jockey Blake Shinn combine here with this quality sprinter who appears very nicely placed tomorrow off a couple of solid performances at Doomben and Eagle Farm at his last two starts. Although unplaced at Doomben the run was quite good sitting wide no cover whilst he was only run down late by the in-form Most Important at Eagle Farm. Good gate, gun run, goes very close. SuperPick - Race 7 No. 2 Ninth Legion - Money Back – Run 2nd RACE 9 No. 2 Sarajevo Big odds about this ex Godolphin trained runner now with the Kris Lees yard. Had two starts in Brisbane for a couple of strong finishing efforts with the latest being over 1000m which was too short. Back up to 1200m tomorrow looks ideal and if we get some decent speed in the early part of the race look for him to be charging home over the concluding stages. Definitely each-way though.
