Greg’s Pinjarra Park Picks Posted on June 23, 2016June 24, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 ASTRONOMITE looks a standout in this opening event. He was probably beaten first-up and the winner of that race Tucky’s Lad was very unlucky at Belmont yesterday. With normal luck he wins. Hard to put a finger on the main chances as the race is very thin. REGAL QUATRO won a recent trial in an impressive fashion. COSTA OESTA trialled quite well. GLEN ALBYN will need some luck from a gate but he has ability. Numbers – 1 – 8 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – Astronomite win RACE 2 BIG CABBAGE has been knocking on the door all campaign and he looks to have found a very suitable race. CAPRICORN DANCER has been beaten by talented horses at her last two starts. If she is within striking distance approaching the straight she goes very close. KOSTYAZILCH went early at Kalgoorlie and was run down late. The drop back to 1400m looks a positive. SOUND OF FURY will give a sight on the speed. Numbers – 1 – 10 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – Big Cabbage save Capricorn Dancer RACE 3 AUDIENCE resumes from a spell for her new trainer Justin Warwick. She has previously shown ability however has never been able to close out a race. Her recent trial looked very good and Justin Warwick may have just found a couple of lengths with her. LITTLE TRADER worked home solidly first-up at Northam and could represent some value. FOXINATOR has had plenty of chances. Pike goes on. STAUNTON showed a bit in a recent trial. Numbers – 7 – 9 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – Audience and Little Trader RACE 4 WOVEN looked to be under a very good hold in a recent trial. He showed ability in his first preparation and this looks a lovely race for him to score his second win. STUB ‘N’ COW has had one start up the straight for one win and Harvey rides. VITAL RESERVE was heavily supported first-up and ran well. SUBI CENTRAL has good speed. Numbers – 4- 6 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – Woven and Stub ‘N’ Cow RACE 5 Wide open staying race with all runners having some type of claims. ABEBE got the job done at Northam two back and then was simply outclassed in town. This is a nice drop in class and he improves sharply. GRINDABELLA is racing well and will tough it out on speed. SUNSET SUPERMAN gets back to his home track. He won here two starts back. BLACK CHANT is always a chance at this level. Numbers – 1 – 5 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – Abebe each-way RACE 6 JESTER ROCK has been racing well all preparation and this looks a nice race for him. Shaun McGruddy jumps back on and from his good draw he should get a lovely run just behind the speed. ROYAL SUPREME can sprint well fresh. He’ll tuck in midfield and likely use the cutaway. TRANQUILLA SUNRISE has been exceptional winning both her races this campaign. TIGER RED endured a torrid run first-up and improves. Numbers – 7 – 4 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – Jester Rock each-way RACE 7 Plenty of speed in this race which will suit the powerful finishing burst of GRANLARADO. He was terrific first-up when sprinted strongly under 59.5kg. This is slightly harder however he should improve off that run and prove hard to beat. CONE BAY ran well at Northam in what looked a strong race. If eh gets some luck from his gate he figures. BELLE LA VIE is hard to catch but this looks a nice assignment for her. ALVARES will lead and give some cheek. Numbers – 2 – 6 – 11 – 4 Suggested Bet – Granlarado win RACE 8 KENSINGTON ABBEY returned from an eight week let-up with a strong win in town. This race is no harder and he excels at this track. If he improves off that first-up run he goes very close. MEDOM ran well behind the same galloper last start. He settles much closer from a better draw. MAJOR DETAIL will get off the speed and work home well. THE KARNUP KIDS pulled off a plunge last when leading all the way at this track and distance although this race does contain more depth. Numbers – 1 – 2 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – Kensington Abbey and Medom RACE 9 FAMOUS SOMEDAY was a strong last start winner and prior to that found the line strongly at this venue. If they are making ground out wide on the track he will be hard to stop. WAR KSAR ran well last start and Brad Parnham goes on. He is drawn to get a lovely trip. PRESS THE PETAL is a stayer of some promise. She should be finishing strongly. WICHITA LINESMAN box seats and has claims. Numbers – 2 – 6 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – Famous Someday and War Ksar QUADDIE RACE 6 – 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11 RACE 8 – 1, 2, 6 RACE 9 – 1, 2, 6, 11 Bet Now
