Oli Cownie’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on August 6, 2024August 6, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch Race 1 RAJAH ROCKS (6) draws closest of the main chances and can race up on speed. OFF THE CHARTS (9) returns from a spell here and is faced by an awkward draw. ADDA BITTO (8) won impressively last start from the breeze. Awkward draw here but think he’s a horse with good ability and with luck can figure in a race like this. SUGAR COVERED (5) stuck on well last start into fourth after breezing throughout. Tips: 6 9 5 8 Suggested Bet: RAJAH ROCKS (6) to win. Race 2 HES A COOL MACH (3) has gate speed and lead for a lot of the way last start. Was three weeks between runs there expect a better run here. GET YA BETS ON (7) comes off three third placings in a row. His last run was good coming up three wide early he battled on well. PATH OF GOLD (4) was asked to go early last start and just ended up over racing badly throughout. FRANKIE J HOLDEN (5) did a lot of work last start and wasn’t beaten too far. Tips: 3 7 4 5 Suggested Bet: HES A COOL MACH (3) to win. Race 3 CARRERA MACH (4) was bolting last start without a run. Could make a strong argument to say he would’ve won that race if he’d gotten clear. LITTLE BITOF FUN (1) has gate speed. Last few efforts haven’t quite been his absolute best but expecting a much better showing from the draw here. MEDIEVAL MAN (12) won last start after gaining a perfect trip in the one out one back. May find this tougher. GOODEALEHMADDIE (9) is faced by a very awkward draw. Would need the speed on to figure but she is racing well. Tips: 4 1 12 9 Suggested Bet: CARRERA MACH (4) each way. Race 4 XPRESS PARTY (2) it all went wrong at a crucial stage when hitting a wheel and making a break last start after looking the winner. Promising horse and if he finds the front expect him to be awfully hard to beat. IM MASSIMO (10) flew into second last start behind Sebastian James. He looks a nice horse and has options early being the only horse off the back row. THE BETTOR SIDE (4) was disappointing first up had a reasonable run and didn’t have much left at the finish. Thought he was better last start racing without a lot of luck. CAPTAIN PAPRIKA (1) has the gate speed to dictate. Think he will elect to take a sit in this race and can earn from there. Tips: 2 10 4 1 Suggested Bet: XPRESS PARTY (2) to win. Race 5 CAPTAINS CREEK (4) incredibly impressive debut win coming from back in the field and running down the leader who’d had things to suit. SEBASTIAN JAMES (2) is looking to make it three in a row here after leading and winning his last two starts. Appears the leader and should be hard to beat. COMO EL VIENTO (3) has been runner up his last two starts but has run well on both occasions behind Captains Creek and Control the Room. LOU LAMAR (1) showed gate speed last start and just tired late. Has a good gate here and dictates the early map. Tips: 2 4 3 1 Suggested Bet: CAPTAINS CREEK (4) to win. Race 6 HOLD THE AMMO (2) was caught right off the track while they sprinted up last start and understandably tired late. He appears to have some gate speed and if able to lead looks very hard to beat. CAPTAIN SAID SO (3)got back to near last in his last race. Hit the line powerfully and didn’t have the clearest passage there. PINJARRA ROCKS (1) impressed on debut behind Captains Creek. Raced off the pegs there and is likely to secure a softer trip here. CONTROL THE ROOM (7) lead and won last start and was probably the beneficiary of some misfortune for his key rival there. Looks a nice horse. Tips: 2 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: HOLD THE AMMO (2) to win. Race 7 SISTER ACT (2) hit the line well last start when eventually clear. Was a good recent winner closing strongest. Suited by the draw. BRULEE (3) faced the breeze last time out and battled on well there. May face a similar task here. TIGER LOU (9) is outside the draw after making an early error last time out. She was a great run to catch them up and finish where she did. SHEHADI (1) has always been more of a hand up type horse. She does have good gate speed and can dictate the early map. Tips: 2 9 3 1 Suggested Bet: SISTER ACT (2) to win. Race 8 WALSH (9) hit the line strongly last start. After diving to the pegs early he found all kinds of trouble. ACOLTNAMEDSU (3) showed gate speed last start before making a break when being restrained to the rear of the field. ROCKINTHEBOX (1) generally goes best on the rails so gets his chance here. JILLIBY JAKE (11) worked forward off the gate last start and just tired late. His run prior I thought was really good and would be suited by some early tempo. Tips: 9 3 1 11 Suggested Bet: WALSH (9) each way. Race 9 PRINCE OF PAIN (7) was a last start winner after drawing gate one. Faced by a tougher draw here but can keep pushing forward and potentially find the front. ARTFUL MAJOR (8) returns from a spell and draws widest which sets him a tough task beating Prince of Pain. Ran some good races earlier in the year. MARBEECHSAM (6) has a strong finish on him when driven conservatively early which he showed again last start running into second behind Louie Dior. JAMIE KIM (5) was second behind Prince Of Pain last start after following him throughout. Faces a much tougher task her but is racing well. Tips: 7 8 6 5 Suggested Bet: MARBEECHSAM (6) each way. Race 10 SON OF A WHIZ (2) returned last start with a competitive fourth. He has gate speed and dictates the early map. His best is definitely good enough to take this out. ALDERBARAN SUNDOWN (4) found the front last start and when looking to have the race in control made a break. LUVAFLAIR (6) closed strongly last start to score to make it two wins from her last three starts. CHUMANI (1) has made errors in his last two starts. Can figure from the good draw back to the mobile. Tips: 2 4 6 1 Suggested Bet: SON OF A WHIZ (2) to win. Market Market
