NBL – Perth Wildcats v Cairns Taipans Posted on January 25, 2016 | Posted by Sportsbettingmax.com Monday January 25, 6.30 PM , Perth Arena The Wildcats have the best home record in the League and will host the Taipans in this Monday night thriller. Game rating – Perth 84 v Cairns 77 Two inform teams coming off great wins are set to make this Monday Night clash a drawcard at Perth Arena. The Wildcats were far too classy for the under manned Illawarra Hawks last Thursday (95-72) whilst the dogged Taipans came from behind to defeat the Breakers on Saturday night in Cairns (90-87). The Wildcats will be eying top spot and the home court advantage which is huge for the club and they have the draw to do it. The Taipans still have a slender chance of making the playoffs so they will be trying to keep their good record against the Cats intact. Prediction Perth lead this series 2-1 with an early season thriller at home (91-90) followed by an away win (70-73) before Cairns won the third encounter in Cairns (71-61). The Taipans may have only nine wins for the season but they were last year’s Grand Finalists and they can play a defensive game which frustrates the Wildcats. They are dangerous from outside the arc with Gliddon, Bruce and Starks all capable of lighting it up and Worthington, Burston and Tragardh are all big bodies inside. Watch for emerging import Tory Craig to have an impact. The Cats were hot against the Hawks but the last time they played the Taipans they were frustrated out of the match. The Wildcats all round game and class should be too much for the Taipans at home but the line looks too big. Suggested Bets Pick your line – Cairns +10.5 at $1.72
