Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on December 17, 2021December 17, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 17th December 2021 Race 2 – No. 2 Exhilarate Has gone as quick as 27.64 over the trip on the trial circuit. He has had to overcome plenty of bother in his six WA starts, all over the 520m at Cannington, finishing on the podium on five occasions. The bigger track should suit and he can continue on with his good form here. Race 4 – No. 3 Destruction All three wins over this trip have been in BON times. Can do the work at both ends and will take a power of beating again if he can handle the draw. Race 6 – No. 7 West On Cider Talented up and comer making his Mandurah debut . He has finished no further back than 2nd in his four starts so far and has the early toe to overcome the wide draw. Can prove too speedy for these. Each Way: Race 8 – No. 8 John Dutton Faces what will be his toughest test to date and does make his 490m debut but barring last start, he couldn’t have had a more impressive start to his career, winning his first three in a row. Sure to test his more fancied rivals. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): FD / 7 / 2.3.6 / 2.6.8 $50 for 92.59% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 18th December 2021 Race 6 – No. 4 Benidorm Has gone to another level with wins in 5 of her past 6, all here at the track. Unbeaten from the draw and easily accounted for most of these last week. Hard to go past again. Race 7 – No. 4 Rostered Off Well supported when dropping back to the 520m last week and wasn’t disgraced, finishing on the heels of the top two after doing plenty of work early. Can make amends over the more suitable 600m. Race 11 – No. 5 Corporal Kuna Has been costly to follow but will appreciate the small field. If given time and room to wind up, he’ll be hard to hold out at the finish. Each Way: Race 3 – No. 4 Super Zoom Jake Has performed well in tougher line ups than this in the past. Returns to headquarters with some strong Mandurah form and should be thereabouts at the finish again. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 3.5.6.7 / 2.4.8 / 2.4 / 1.2.7 $50 for 69.44% Trifecta – Race 3 2.4.5 / 1.2.4.5.6 / 1.2.3.4.5.6 $30 for 62.50% First Four – Race 10 1.7 / 1.7 / 2.5.8 / 2.4.5.8 $50 for 277.77% Bet Now! Race 6 – No. 5 It’s A Shadow Has turned his first around since returning to the trip and is in search of a hat trick after saluting first up from a spell on Tuesday. Drawn awkwardly but with the right run, he’ll be hard to hold out again. Race 8 – No. 2 Global Desire Mixing form at Cannington but may appreciate the return to the wide, open spaces of Mandurah where she has finished in the money on 3 of 5 occasions. Drawn favourably and should give plenty of cheek. Bet Now! Bet Now!
