Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on September 10, 2021September 10, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 10th September 2021 Race 4 – No. 2 Wood Fire Usually thereabouts with top 4 finishes in 7 of his 11 starts so far. Making his Mandurah debut but will find this easier than recent outings and looks hard to run down from the favourable draw. Race 8 – No. 1 Momentum Too strong when winning from this draw and in this company last week, posting a BON 22.50. Won’t find this any tougher and looks the one to beat again. Race 10 – No. 3 Archibald Resumed with the narrowest of victories last week in a smart 22.63 when leading all the way. While he does meet a hot line up, he has the draw advantage and will be fitter second time around this campaign. Each Way: Race 9 – No. 1 Black Que Backmarker resuming from a spell but drawn favourably for his return and will take holding out at the finish if anywhere near his best. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.6.7.8 / 1.7 / 2 / 1.3.5 $50 for 166.66% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 11th September 2021 Race 8 – No. 1 Vice Grip Handy effort in his WA debut when a length from the winner in 3rd, posting a solid 30.00. Will be better for the run and the draw helps his chances of going much closer. Keep following. Race 9 – No. 3 Myrtle Monelli A winner in all of her past 3 over the trip when racing prominently throughout. Down in class to last week and can go all the way again from another inside draw. Race 10 – No. 5 Fire Cloud An all the way winner in 2 of his past 4 over the trip, both from a similar draw and is slick times. Won’t find this much tougher and can repeat the dose. Each Way: Race 5 – No. 1 West On Grit Yet to break 30 seconds in 8 runs over the trip but he has featured on the podium more than not. Has his first red rug at headquarters too, one he has yet to miss a place in. Can surprise the big guns with the right run in transit. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.5.6.8 / 2.3/ 2.5.7 / 1.2 $50 for 104.16% Trifecta – Race 8 1.2 / 1.2 / 3.6.7 $30 for 500% First Four – Race 10 5 / 3.8 / 3.8 / 1.2.4.6.7 $50 for 500% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 12th September 2021 Race 3 – No. 2 Wise Dohne Well-bred newcomer who has warmed up for this with two solid hit outs on the trial circuit. Drawn favourably and there’ll be no reason to feel sheepish for supporting her on debut. Race 5 – No. 6 Bush Martini Hasn’t won for over a year and has been unplaced in both runs in WA so far but caught the eye when finishing solidly along the rails over 490m at Mandurah last start and could surprise a few with better luck in running back at headquarters. Worth following into the future if she shows further improvement again. Race 10 – No. 1 Chaos Ball Mixing form but has a good record over this journey and the early dash to use a rare inside draw to her advantage. Can go all the way and keep the unusual form pattern intact. Bet Now! Bet Now!
