Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 11, 2025March 11, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 WICKED HUSTLER (7) is coming off the back of two solid metro runs with both seeing him run into some bother and still finish the race off well, he looks hard to beat in this but will have to negotiate the wide barrier. AKOYA PEARL (5) trialled up well and this horse has shown promise in the past but has had some gaiting issues, looked nice in the trial and think she could perform well on return for Nathan Turvey. SWIFTIE (1) has the nice draw and has led before with decent early speed, expect improvement here. STELLA DELIZIOSA (2) has a nice draw and shouldn’t be too far away; she appears a novelty chance. BY ROYAL COMMAND (6) had excuses last time out and can be thrown into the novelties at value if that is what you are seeking. Tips: 7 5 1 2 Suggested Bet: AKOYA PEARL (5) each way. Race 2 Intriguing early battle for the lead here. PACIFIC EAGLE (1) has been crossed from the pole recently and faces a quickish front line. BY GEE BY JINGO (2) has been rough in his career when pushed off the arm early so we could see some challengers. MASTER LEIGHTON (4) could ping to the top and he is racing well, he looks a solid each way chance in this race. RELLIM (8) had no luck last time out and is a very capable pacer, expect him to be steaming home with CEE DEE THREE (9) who went down narrowly on Friday night, his form is right up to these and can overcome the draw. EYE BETTER (7) can do work in her races and she’s been racing consistently for the most part. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (4) and REMARKABLE ROCK (5) are both novelty chances with PATH OF GOLD (10) who will be watching everything unfold but the draw might work against him. Tips: 4 9 8 7 Suggested Bet: MASTER LEIGHTON (4) each way. Race 3 CRUNCHEE (1) looks ideally placed, on face value she appeared a touch disappointing when unplaced last time out, but her previous runs were strong and she has the draw with speed, go close here. FRANKIE J HOLDEN (6) can do work in his races and has come back well, expect him to be marching forward in this. JILLIBY JAKE (10) has the ideal draw and looks a strong novelty player. RONA MAY (4) should be kept safe on return along with the luckless BLITZAR (5) who is going better than his recent form reads. Tips: 1 6 10 5 Suggested Bet: JILLIBY JAKE (10) to place. Race 4 ALTA FREEWAY (6) is on the quick backup after scraping into victory against a solid lineup on Saturday night at Northam, he has good early speed and can hold the favourite to his outside, I think he could find the top and once Lang Inwood’s runners find form, they normally hold it. BETTOR ARCADE (7) looks suited by the grade and is a major player in this, he has good ability. BALINGUP BOY (8) not suited by the draw but has good closing speed and play into the novelties. AMERICAN CRUISE (10) needs some luck from the draw but can finish well with STRIKE MASTER (11) and ROLLINDOWNTHERIVER (9) is capable but must overcome a wide draw first up from a spell and looks difficult on return. Tips: 6 7 10 8 Suggested Bet: ALTA FREEWAY (6) to win. Race 5 SYNCHRONIZER (1) had excuses last time out and has the nice draw to run a bold race here, has options from the draw and she can play a part. TRITTRTITTBANGBANG (4) was solid last time out and not beaten far, he normally races close to the speed and is an each way chance with ACOLTNAMEDSU (9) who is capable of overcoming the wide draw. TORREVEAN PINKY (5) is mixing her form, just needs to overcome the tricky draw. ZUEDE (7) will be running on with new stable mate LUKES MISTAKE (8) who was decent first up for Matt Scott at Northam on Saturday night. DOCTOR STEVE (10) could get a good run and be a novelty player also in a tricky little race. Tips: 1 9 4 8 Suggested Bet: SYNCHRONIZER (1) to win. Race 6 PINNY NOIR (7) debuted in a hot race last week and wasn’t disgraced, this appears easier and with a race run under her belt she should be hard to hold out. MANHATTAN RUBY (5) did too much on debut but trials prior were solid and she looks the main danger. ARISE LAZARUS (6) comes in off the back of a freshen up and is a consistent performer. OUR RICH CARGO (1) creates interest of the good draw. ALFA JESS (3) and LITTLE MISS MOLLY (4) both look novelty chances with myself fairing more to the latter as the better of the two at this stage. Tips: 7 5 6 4 Suggested Bet: PINNY NOIR/MANHATTAN RUBY to Exacta. Race 7 SHES SUPER CHARGED (1) trialled up well last Wednesday and was going to play a serious part in the finish in her racing debut, she has the draw and the speed to dictate and run a bold race here. CHUGACH (5) was solid in his only start, he covered them from back in the field and showed heart and sustained speed to win, he may have to run the same type of race here. IKES GOT THE MIKE (3) has drawn to get the good run and can be placed. CROWN GENERAL (4) still learning the caper looks likely to bring up the first 4. Tips: 1 5 3 4 Suggested Bet: SHES SUPER CHARGED (1) to win. Market Market
