Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 31, 2024December 31, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Tricky race. ADVANTAGE (9) returns and from the strong stables of Team Bond, the distance shouldn’t worry him and he has plenty of upside, thought he was the each way play even from the wide draw. LETS GET ROCKIN (11) closed off nicely on Friday and has a nice trailing draw, he will get the distance fine. BENJI (2) returns and is normally driven with his speed late but temptation might be there from the draw. GEE SMITH (1) has a lovely draw and comes in with novelty claims. ROCK ME OVER (5) raced well on Friday night and can figure in the money as well. Open race to start NYE. Tips: 9 11 2 1 Suggested Bet: ADVANTAGE (9) each way. Race 2 MALAKIE (2) has been unlucky for her two runs with the new stable, she has a nice draw and think she can go very close here. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (1) has the lovely draw and has options, thought they would be leaders back and a novelty chance. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (5) creates interest for the new stable and will run a bold race on return. SPINNER OF YARNS (9) is going better than his numerical form suggests, keep him safe at odds. THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (3) was a strong effort from the breeze last time out but may have to do it again here. Tips: 2 5 9 1 Suggested Bet: MALAKIE (2) to win. Race 3 PRIME MOVER (2) should roll to the top and from there is going to be hard to run down. VEEFORVICTORY (1) ideally drawn, should be finishing into the money from there. OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (5) has been racing well and should position up close enough to run on well. KINSAABI (8) has the closing speed needed to run into the novelties. Tips: 2 1 5 8 Suggested Bet: PRIME MOVER/VEEFORVICTORY to exacta. Race 4 CHAMBRAY (6) has good early speed and can slingshot across to lead this, if she was able to cross I think she would win, if she has to breeze I still believe she can win from there also. VALHALLA MISS (1) was a better effort last time out and has a good draw. TIGER LOU (3) is racing consistently but also devoid of luck as of late, she comes in with sound claims. MERAVIGLIA (4) is a novelty chance with COURAGE OF LOMBO (7) who was better last time out. Tips: 6 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: CHAMBRAY (6) to win. Race 5 MAJOR JAY (3) showed good speed last time out and think he could find his way to the top, very hard to beat if that is the case. HENGHENG (5) better suited from a worse draw, he can roll forward and most likely be in the breeze controlling the tempo, expecting him to run well. MAKE IT QUICK (1) has options from the draw, won’t be far away. ALFREDI (2) is a novelty chance along with LORD PUBLISHER (4) who was very strong on return. Tips: 3 5 1 2 Suggested Bet: MAJOR JAY (3) to win. Race 6 MAJOR OVERS (1) should lead and looks to be a race devoid of any pressure, I am expecting him to win. FRANCO WESTERN (2) has got the perfect draw for him, will be close enough and should be threatening at some stage. SIDSTREPO (3) was decent on return and can use his high speed to come into play late. BARBADOS (8) is one of the few horses in the race that can do work and if he is up there I think he can stick it out pretty well. Tips: 1 2 3 8 Suggested Bet: SIDSTREPO (3) to place. Race 7 THELITTLE MASTER (3) drops in grade again and looks hard to beat, he was able to do work and win well two starts ago, he will have to be good tonight, but I think he has the ability to overcome it. HEEZ GOOD AS GOLD (1) will be the one in front and rolling along, will take some beating. HAVEYOUMETTED (2) has the lovely draw and is racing well, genuine knock out chance if the others go too hard. TAKE A HIKE (4) is a novelty chance in behind them with MAJOR MANHATTAN (6) who will be running on. Tips: 3 1 2 4 Suggested Bet: THELITTLE MASTER (3) to win. Market Market
