Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 19, 2024November 19, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 COOPERS IDEAL (4) has been improving and has a draw advantage over most of her main rivals, she could work her way to the top or at least a forward position and from there looks hard to beat. HEARTOFAHLIA (9) has hit a consistent and strong patch of form and although she’s never been a horse to overcome tough draws, she is racing well enough to be very prominent here. HURRICANEHOPE (1) continues to improve, she has the nice draw and is on the quick back up from Sunday at Collie, keep safe. MISS UNEEK (8) goes to a tough draw but has improved nicely this preparation. LUCI KANE (7) returns and has early speed, she was mixing her form last prep. AMARETTO ANGEL (5) racing well, but this is a bit tricky. Tips: 4 9 1 8 Suggested Bet: COOPERS IDEAL (4) to win. Race 2 SUGAR APPLE (2) was something beaten last start and on that performance, he should be able to win this but also think MAJOR FREEWAY (1) has been racing well since entering the new stable and gets the good draw, should run a bold race and maybe not as much between them as market suggests. MAKE IT QUICK (10) has the perfect trailing draw and looks a strong place chance. UNDER THE ALTA (4) going well and can run into the novelties here. Tips: 2 1 10 4 Suggested Bet: MAKE IT QUICK (10) to place. Race 3 KABOCHON (5) has the draw advantage and although beaten last time out, looks well placed and on the last performance he can have his early speed used and should be able to lead and win. CHACO EAGLE (8) looks the logical quinella pick, he has come back well and is versatile, should run a bold race. JAXON MORGAN (7) is improving and should run a solid race, more a novelty player tonight. NO NONEY (6) is a novelty chance after bouncing back to form last time out. HAVEYOUMETTED (9) was good in his WA debut, but this is harder, and the draw makes him a novelty chance best with ITS JUSTA SHOTAWAY (10). Tips: 5 8 7 6 Suggested Bet: KABOCHON/CHACO EAGLE exacta. Race 4 SPICEY MAJOR (2) should dominate his rivals after what we saw on Friday night, he should lead and win with a leg in the air. MISTER MONTBLANC (8) is racing well, this is a nice drop in grade and looks a strong place prospect in this. ON THE BACK FOOT (1) races strong opposition but has the soft draw, first run for the new stable was sound. BLAZE ON (5) returned with a solid run, he is a novelty chance in this. ELWADDELL (6) next best. Tips: 2 8 5 1 Suggested Bet: MISTER MONTBLANC (8) to place. Race 5 ACUSHLA MACHREE (3) looks better placed here, has an abundance of early speed and I think she will find her way to the top and be able to break through, she is a better price this week from a better draw. JOLTED CHARM (1) has got speed in her own right but she’s looking to bounce back to some form, tactics will be intriguing. SWEET IVY (4) should position up just behind them and be close enough to be dangerous. SEAGRASS (5) can watch things unfold and if needed can be put into the race. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (10) is a must for the novelties from the draw as she can bob up at big odds, she does mix her form. Tips: 3 1 4 5 Suggested Bet: ACHUSHLA MACHREE (3) to win. Race 6 TUMBLIN DICE (2) gets the good draw and was unlucky last time out, he is an impeccable front runner and looks very hard to beat here. FRANCO WESTERN (5) is suited in this grade but is one dimensional, so he will be saved up and close off well. GEE SMITH (4) was better last time out and can feature into the top end of the money, keep safe. LUHRSY (1) goes up in grade but can run into the novelties. BRODIE BOY (3) looks up against it when he is unlikely to lead. CRY HAVOC (10) comes in fresh but should be included in your novelties. Tips: 2 5 4 1 Suggested Bet: TUMBLIN DICE (2) to win. Race 7 YOU FLY WITH ME (2) looks well placed, both runs for the new stable have had merit and with the draw advantage, he looks very hard to beat. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (4) will be suited to this grade and can feature, he has early speed but with the scratching it makes it difficult to see him crossing. PECUNIOUS (9) is a peculiar horse, she has the ability but hasn’t been finishing off like how you would like, this grade is suitable and she may be driven more aggressively. HOKULANI (1) was horribly unlucky on return at Collie, he backs up quickly and represents value for the novelties. HERE COMES SHARKIE (5) and IL BANDITO (10) novelty chances as they should be close enough. Tips: 2 4 1 9 Suggested Bet: HOKULANI (1) to place. Race 8 WHEEL FAST (1) has had two runs for the new stable and both have been sound, has the draw advantage over his rivals and has early speed, looks a strong winning possibility here. WELEASE WODDEWICK (3) was a beaten favourite and still sitting on the fence about this horse, he can win on what we have seen but I am happy to take him on at the shorter quote tonight. LOW FLYIN (4) can watch things unfold and with the small field, he will be closing off well. SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (7) has come back soundly, keep safe in your novelties. Tips: 1 3 4 7 Suggested Bet: WHEEL FAST (1) to win. Market Market
