Race 1

A capacity field over 1140m will be a challenging assignment for the horses off the back row. COCOBOLO (6) drops in grade and will be heading forward hard to show her best, has plenty of high speed but needs to bounce back off a poor marginal performance last time out. LOVE DEVINE (5) comes in fresh and has tremendous gate speed as seen last time out, could charge to the lead early and be a cheeky chance. AMERICAN TYPHOON (4) is capable but is a bit hit and miss with early speed. HEAVENLY BLISS (2) a novelty chance but still isn’t at her best although winning last time out. IDONTWANABEAPIRATE (10), REDDY TO FLY (11) and ICY COLD (12) will need to take short cuts but are capable. KOPPER KOTE (7) could get parked 3 deep the trip in this.

Tips: 6 5 4 10

Suggested Bet: LOVE DEVINE (5) to place.

Race 2

Many chances here. DAWSON SHARD (5) is going to be a throw at the stumps as he has decent gate speed and is racing quite well, needs to get to the rail but will be value and is going well enough. MADAM TIGER (4) has early speed and is improving with every outing, keep safe. ULTIMATE ZIPPER (12) has done nothing wrong but faces a tough draw as the rise in grade occurs. SUPREMEDREAM (2) is inexperienced and early speed is up in the air but has ability and will be close enough. CANELO (9) and JACK MANNIX (11) will both be running on well.

Tips: 5 12 2 4

Suggested Bet: DAWSON SHARD (5) each way.

Race 3

RUIA (9) didn’t have much luck last time out and still performed well, looks hard to beat with more fitness under the belt and a better draw to follow and sprint home. DISPATCHER (4) can look to ping out at the short trip and lead early and has options, form has been good and she can afford to do a bit at both ends at the mile. LUHRSY (5) was racing well last time in, and the stable horses have performed well fresh so no reason he can’t do that. AMBITSIYA (7) is predominantly driven for her high speed therefore the draw is challenging for her and is now under the care of Corey Peterson. CODENAME ELLIOT (1) a place chance from the improved draw with HONOUR THE EAGLE (8) who loves the pegs.

Suggested Bet: RUIA (9) to win.

Race 4

POPPYONTHEBEACH (3) has the distinct draw advantage and is also fitter after a narrow defeat to Major Miki Whitby who was recently placed in the Narrogin Cup behind Otis and Gee Heza Sport, everything points towards this mare in this. ARISTA (9) has had two soft wins in the state and will face the toughest test to date, expected to run a bold race here but in a different way. CURADH (5) has plenty of high speed and the draw is awkward for him and ARTFUL MAJOR (7) who could find this difficult. FUNKY MUSIC (1) is a novelty chance with LADY CAMEL (8) from the lovely draws.

Suggested Bet: POPPYONTHEBEACH (3) to win.

Race 5

SOHO THE REAL DEAL (7) reads up well for a race of this nature and looks to have the speed necessary to be put right into this, go well. YAWOMA (6) was much better last time out, and we know that he is good enough, can be driven in a versatile manner. MISTER KOPA (1) has the nice draw but isn’t quite at his best, has the speed to lead and has options. GOTA GOOD WARHOL (8) will get a lovely run and be a novelty chance as always. DAMAGE DONE (2) is capable of better, could improve here. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (5) likes the shorter trip and was better last effort. SNAKEY BAY (9) is a novelty chance.

Suggested Bet: SOHO THE REAL DEAL (7) to win.

Race 6

GOLDEN LODE (7) has just gone from strength to strength throughout his whole career, only negative for him in this is that he has been flying under the radar recently and in this race, they will be looking for him, still good enough to win from anywhere. RUNKLE CRUNCH (8) was an outstanding run in defeat last time out, he can assess early and be put into the race and be there at the business end. BROUGHT TO LIGHT (1) is highly talented and steps up in grade, drawn well and can sit on speed nicely. LINCOLN LOU (5) is excelling being driven for his speed and will be running on here, just needs some tempo. JUSTCALLMEMIKI (6) can do the work where required and will run well here.

Suggested Bet: GOLDEN LODE (7) to win.

Race 7

ZILLIONAIRE (1) was rocky in both runs but looks to have ability, likely to be very short in this line up and could be tested early for speed but if he does things correctly, he should win. PERFECT MIKI (12) hasn’t done much to get that excited about, but it goes against my rules of form in saying this but, Justin Prentice doesn’t keep bad horses so this must be respected. ROCKNBLUE IRIS (2) was better last run and is a novelty chance with SHOOBEES BOMB (3) who could use her speed early and become a novelty chance with NELLYS WORLD (4) now third up and has shown glimpses of form. IZZY ROSE (6) was solid on debut but draws tougher here with other chances to MISS TRIBECA (5) and ASHANESIA (9).

Suggested Bet: SHOOBEES BOMB (3) to place.

Race 8

SOME LINE (1) would have benefitted from a break and build up with another preparation, came on nicely last time in and raced some nice types, looks a major player in this on return from the draw and think we will see a better version of this bloke this time in. THEBAREFOOTPIRATE (7) has shown promise but gets the visitors draw, respect anyway. EL EDWIN (3) closed off well on debut but faces a tricky draw. MAXMEMATE (4) is improving and should be included in novelty chances with RANGER RED (9) who wasn’t a bad effort on return, keep safe in this. UNKNOWN (10) wasn’t a bad run against a slick lineup on Tuesday and can be included with KUNGFU WARRIOR (11) who hit the line well along the rail last time out.

Suggested Bet: SOME LINE (1) to win.

Race 9

STARRY HEIGHTS (9) will be better for the first up effort and experience will bring this horse on strongly, looks hard to hold out in this. SIR ALEC WHITBY (2) has impressed me in some trials and the last start effort but has also left me scratching my head, best version is quite capable by the looks. PAPPINBARRA LADY (1) is improving in gate speed and has a lovely draw and has options, will be close enough but has had a few opportunities now. DOWN TENNESSEE (5) is a winning chance with luck, has shown promise along the way. STAR WISE (8) nicely drawn and can improve from the draw.

Tips: 9 2 1 5

Suggested Bet: SIR ALEC WHITBY (2) each way.
