Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 3, 2024June 3, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 CAPTAIN STIRLING (4) has been runner in up in both of his career starts to date. He was a heavily backed favourite in the Champagne Stakes and performed full of merit, looks the winner in this. FORMEL (6) did everything right and was the last horse standing last week, she has come on well from trials into her first win and can run top 2. CAPTAIN SAID SO (5) trialled well recently and likely to be well though of by the punters. BOUJEE BOY (3) looks to have speed early and is one for the novelties. Tips: 4 6 5 3 Suggested Bet: CAPTAIN STIRLING (4) to win. Race 2 CORK CAN RUN (5) has above average ability and has been racing against better fields, he appears versatile and has options, think he will run a big race today. BETTOR ARCADE (1) is one of three runners for Aiden De Campo and Four Diamonds Pacing here, the pole marker has got decent enough speed but either way should get a bold run. The stable mates BANK NOTICE (2) looks more a novelty chance and RAJAH ROCKS (3) is a winning chance with some luck. PRINCE OF PAIN (7) is racing well and can overcome the draw. ARIONROCK (4) needs the speed on but has proven his worth in this knockout role. Tips: 5 1 7 4 Suggested Bet: CORK CAN RUN (5) to win. Race 3 Open race. DREAM CONTROL (9) has got versatility in this grade and was a winner at the Lightning Lap the last time she contested it. Looks to be speed on which will suit her and also RECOVER LOVER (10) who has proven to run her best races not used early, she has been unlucky as of late. PUREST COPPER (6) has been more encouraging with her performances, not 100% sold on her at the short trip though. JUSTMOREBLING (4) has been racing soundly and consistently, won’t be far away again. MISS STEFANI (7) comes in with the hood on and is capable of a strong performance, WANDERING GIRL (8) has got speed to burn and has been staying on well, she is one of many chances in this. Tips: 9 10 6 8 Suggested Bet: DREAM CONTROL (9) each way. Race 4 MIKI SPRING STEP (10) was strong to the line last time out and can watch things unfold early here, he can do some work in his races and appears hardest to beat. LUNETTA (1) looks the likely leader but is finding it incredibly hard to break through. Chris Voak has a knack of lifting these types of horse and should be respected. HY JAX (6) flashed home last start and looks to have ability, still learning the caper. EBEE AVIATOR (7) will be fitter for the first up effort which had merit. BORTOLO (12) looks a reasonable type but did things wrong first up and the draw at the distance creates concern. Tips: 10 6 1 7 Suggested Bet: MIKI SPRING STEP (10) to win. Race 5 MAJOR JAY (10) looks to have got into this race very well, he is a capable type who can do some work and looks hardest to beat. REG LAWSON (6) has come back well and looks to be the main danger in the event, should be in the money. TEMPT THE STARS (4) has improved in recent efforts but his early speed is a concern, expect him to be finishing it off well with stablemate MISTER KOPA (7) who was a nice winner last time out at Wagin when coming from last. Tips: 10 6 4 7 Suggested Bet: MAJOR JAY (10) to win. Race 6 PENNY BLACK (3) is a very talented type on paper who hasn’t been over the top impressive with a trial win and first up win, looks like she just does what she needs to do and therefore should get the job done again here. EVE CROCKER (5) has been consistent since debuting in WA, won’t be far away again. DISPATCHER (2) has good early speed and could land into a prominent position, do prefer her at a shorter trip but she is racing well and is a place chance, along with OUR LILILOU (8) who will be running on well. LADY VIOLETTA (4) not the worst and a must for your novelties. Tips: 3 5 2 8 Suggested Bet: DISPATCHER (2) to place. Race 7 JILL MACH (9) has been racing against stronger opposition and is very well crafted in the standing start conditions, she is on a quick backup from Friday and performs well when backing up, can be driven assertively here and looks very hard to beat. MAJOR OVERS (1) having his first standing start, he was just ok away and will need a better beginning than his trial but if he does lead, he will be very hard to run down. MIKIPELO (7) resumes and performs well in standing start events and ISAIDBOO (6) ideally drawn to step well and follow the rail, looks a good place chance. BEAT THE BANK (11) find the 40m very difficult first up. IM DRINKINDOUBLES (3) normally reliable away, must be included in your novelties at value. Tips: 9 1 6 7 Suggested Bet: JILL MACH (9) to win. Race 8 MARENGO BAY (11) is a very talented trotter who just needs to do everything right to be the hardest to beat here, wouldn’t want to dive in too short but he is a horse with a high cruising speed. THAT’S NOT MY GAIT (12) has a lot of traffic ahead of her but her last win was nearly career best and loves the longer trip. UPTOWN LAD (4) was disappointing last time when beaten as a favourite, he is capable of bouncing back. NICKYS SON (5) better suited back to the stand and should run well. AH UNAGI (1) did things wrong last time out, stand was good two starts ago. EVAS IMAGE (10) not at her best in recent runs and CHUMANI (6) is always in the mix for the top 4. Tips: 11 12 4 5 Suggested Bet: MARENGO BAY (11) to win. Race 9 HEAVENLY WAGE (7) has won 5 of 9 starts at the 1177m distance with the other 4 runs being in the placings, he has rejuvenated his career with this concept and looks hard to beat again due to his versatility. PELIGROSO (1) is capable of running a strong race from the pole, he can mix his form but has won at this trip also. LOMBO MITCHINSON (5) looking to get back to his better form, could improve. ROCKNROLL SASS (6) is versatile and won’t be far away. ALTA QUEEN (9) is capable if she scores up but she’s been in a bad mood lately. Tips: 7 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: HEAVENLY WAGE (7) to win. Race 10 HI SUGA RUSH (8) has good versatility and plenty of upside as he learns the racing craft, he can do some work and looks like there will be speed on which will play into his hands, go well. CHAMBRAY (1) looks suited here, has options but should run a bold race. Will be met with early challengers from 2,3,4,6 & possibly 9 out the gate. MAJOR CORRIDA (4) will be hoping they go hard as he is a good swooping type. JINGLING JEWELS (6) a winning chance if he could zap them at the start, he is fresh going into this race. UNDER THE STARZZZ (3) not the worst. Tips: 8 1 4 6 Suggested Bet: HI SUGA RUSH (8) to win. Market Market
