Race 1

MIKI WINDERMERE (1) was a strong second to the smart Gaitcrasher last time out, he meets a better draw against a slightly easier field and appears to be the hardest to beat here. EE JAY WHY (7) has been racing consistently; she continues to hit the line strongly and expect her to finish off well again here even from the wide draw. SWITCH BLADE (3) is a last start winner and fought on well on that occasion, he looks to be a novelty chance. MAJOR BLUE EYES (2) retusnS and has a decent draw. LIVELY SHADOW (6) returns after a long time away from the track, but she has won 2 of her 4 career starts, trials have been okay, keep her safe.

Suggested Bet: MIKI WINDERMERE (1) to win.

Race 2

ZIGGY VERMEER (1) hit the line well last time out and has shown some promise, perfect draw and looks hard to beat in this. ELEPHANT ROCK (7) has another awkward draw but has had excuses against better horses recently, he could run a better race. SPEED FORCE (8) has been mixing his form a bit but has drawn to get the perfect run. IDEAL IVANA (6) is suited in this grade and with even luck can become a winning chance. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (3) could improve but form hasn’t been encouraging to date.

Suggested Bet: ZIGGY VERMEER (1) to win.

Race 3

CALL TO ARMS (1) has the perfect draw and abundance of early speed and I can see him bouncing back to some of his better form in this, go well. ERA (3) went well last time out and will run a bold race here, should settle close enough. SUNDANCER RAINBOW (4) can’t do too much work in her races, but she has drawn to settle close to the speed and has a good closing 400m. COHLIN (6) would win if he could cross down to the pegs and lead but bit of speed underneath him, he appreciates the lightning lap. HAVING FUN (7) is consistent.

Suggested Bet: CALL TO ARMS (1) each way.

Race 4

CAPTAINSHAVTIME (1) has the perfect draw and would’ve lost no admirers after a last start defeat. The one to beat here. LONGREACH BAY (3) needs to cross, so he will be coming out hard, he hit the line bolting last time out. ARIONROCK (2) will get a lovely run either way with no back lien and expect him to have the last crack at them. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (4) was just ok last time out but expect him to be better again, winning looks hard because of the draw and same can be said for CALLMEWHATUWANT (6) and JACKPOT JOE (7) but all of these are racing in tremendous form, good race.

Suggested Bet: CAPTAINSHAVTIME/ARIONROCK to Exacta.

Race 5

FEELING EMPATHY (7) hasn’t got the best form lines around but she is a good front runner and loves the shorter distances, I think she can improve in this and can cross, if she does lead, she’s worth an each way ticket. LUCIENNE (2) looks one of the main dangers, she hasn’t been troubling them as of late but also hasn’t been bad in those performances, better race today. SUNPATRA (3) was a better run last time out and can go close here along with the stablemate BEALAWYER (6).

Tips: 7 2 3 6

Suggested Bet: FEELING EMPATHY (7) each way.

Race 6

AT THE POINTY END (1) has the perfect draw again and looks to hold all challenges out early and if able to lead, will be very hard to gun down. RONALD SCOTT (5) can do work in his races and appears to be the main danger; he is a versatile type and may have to do some work. HIGHVIEW HEIDI (4) has come back well and looks to map well in this event. CAMS BOULDER (3) hit the line well on return and is a novelty chance at odds with AMERICAN MONARCH (2).

Suggested Bet: AT THE POINTY END (1) to win.

Race 7 

CHARIVARI (6) looks well placed to dominate, this is an easier assignment then some of his recent runs and he looks to be a strong type moving forward. OCEANFRONT (3) creates a lot of interest from the decent draw and should be respected from the stables of Bob Mellsop. LITTLE BITOF FUN (9) will get to watch things unfold and has been racing consistently, he is a must for your novelties. THE FREELANCER (4) appears next best for novelty purposes.

Tips: 6 3 9 4

Suggested Bet: LITTLE BITOF FUN (9) to place.

Race 8

KVINTET HILL (4) looks ideally placed in his WA debut and has the attributes to make it a winning one. QUIGGLEY (8) trialled well with a good time and his best is good enough, but it is an awkward draw for him here and he will require some luck and good behaviour today. ELISH STAR (2) has the nice draw and some early speed, should be close enough to play a part. SELLUNE (5) was better last time out and will be getting home well. PEACHEE (7) can overcome the draw and she continues to improve and this grade suits. MRIYA DREAM (6) is a novelty chance if doing everything right.

Suggested Bet: KVINTET HILL (4) to win.
