Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets

CANNINGTON

Race 3 No. 3 Rogue Runner and No. 2 Dozen Staples

The 3 can lead this time. Has the draw and the early toe to go straight in to the arm. Hard to catch when he does. The 2 will get a rails run here and she keeps punching home well. Look for her once again to present late. Place heavy for her.

Race 5 No. 4 Zinc and No. 3 Gimli

Great run from the 4 last time making up many lengths off no luck at all. Does lack some early dash but clearly a fast dog who will just need first turn luck here here. Can hit the frame. The 3 is putting it all together now and running time and he can also take a fence run here first turn. In the finish with a trouble free passage.

Race 6 No. 3 Fabs Max Potato

Another who will play for a run here but a few of these will be out of the race when they don’t get their way at the first turn. He’s not one of them and just needs a look up the back and he will keep coming. Place heavy again here.

Race 7 No. 8 Tahiti Dreams and No. 4 After Show

Who leads wins? That’s the question and one of these two are very capable of answering it. The 8 excels when given room that first 30m and if she crosses cleanly here they won’t get her as her 500m strength will kick in. The 4 will go fast and she is the one who can hold her up. She is also very hard to run down when on the arm and she will be looking for that role at box rise.

Race 8 No. 2 Bergelmir

Racing super. Can lead or come from behind but the draw and what’s around him point to him getting right there this week and he will then become awfully hard to stop. Big show here.

Race 9 No. 1 Bazinga Boy

Been racing better dogs over the longer trip when almost leading some of those. If he hops out here and uses that early dash to punch up and lead this lot, good luck catching him. Boxed to have every hope now.

Race 10 No. 2 Kenny Keeping and No. 5 I’m Upstairs

The 2 keeps producing when drawing inside and this should be no different. Rails hard and keeps finding and just needs a good step here. The 5 is a sneaky chance with any luck into the back. Can run some good races and goes better than form suggests. Small EW spec there.

Race 11 No. 1 Celestial Gas and No. 4 Polygon Monelli

A couple at odds who can go ok here. The 1 has her box and her run last start was good at Mandurah. Her old form here would have her right in this. She might be back to that now. The 4 doesn’t win out of turn but she is always thereabouts and her run was good last start too. Will keep hitting the line and look for her up the back to chime in.
