Harry Buchanan’s Tuesday Greyhound Best Bets

CANNINGTON

Race 2 No. 6 Pad Up Jasper

Slowly putting it together and is stepping well at the present. Well boxed wide as he gets off the fence first turn and he will be up there throughout. A clean start will see him a chance here at odds.

Race 5 No. 2 Celestial Gas and No. 7 Big Girl Kiki

A couple at big odds here. The 2 hasn’t seen an inside box and gets a good map here now. Needs to take advantage of it and not try and go around them into the back. She can run on well for a frame finish. The 7 only has to offset the box to be a threat. Good effort last week when no early luck and can improve again.

Race 6 No. 1 Horoscope and No. 4 Dozen Staples

The 1 just needs to hold up early here. Came again after being headed last week and is improving all the time on the clock. Could lead throughout. The 4 will run into this again if she gets the breaks. Doesn’t set the track alight but works home solidly most starts. Place heavy play for her.

Race 7 No. 5 Halcyon Days

Gets a great map to the first turn here and racing well for Cosi. Can show pace and also come from off the arm and will be punching through for a forward spot. In a great vein of form and can continue on here with a good getaway.

Race 9 No. 8 All Over Kaisha and No. 1 All Over Kite

These two go again this week. The 8 finally broke through last week and she can repeat the dose. Strongest in the run home and a major threat here with clear running. The 1 will look to lead this time and she could be a different commodity on the arm. Hard to catch if she zips away at any stage. One more chance for her over this trip.

Race 10 No. 8 Voodoo Dolly and No. 3 Call Me Trinity

The 8 will sweep around quickly here. Run into some smart dogs lately and gets a drop in company here. Only needs to find the top to win and looks her best chance yet. The 3 will run a sneaky race. She can step but she also runs on from the back as well if need be. Could get a spot here early and run a race at odds. The 8 looks the one however.

Race 11 No. 2 Buddy’s Mate and No. 6 Where’s The Kuna

The 2 was superb last week and he gets his chance now. Boxed perfectly here and no pressure either side. He’s very strong and the one to beat with clear running. The 6 is going better than it looks and can press forward here. Runs his 22.2 and that’s thereabouts for this company. Minor chance with luck at the start.

Race 12 No. 7 Notorious Harada and No. 2 Opie Monelli

The 7 has had a short freshen and her box manners are usually on song. Can spear over here and if she leads she will take some catching. She’s very good when she’s on. The 2 will get a lovely drag and gap into the back here with the speed elements around him and he can descend late. Watch for him to run home hard at good EW odds.
