Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Tips

NORTHAM

Race 2 No. 7 Incredible Solo and No. 1 Dandalup across

The 7 is a smokies hope here and was ok at Cannington last start. Small field puts him in this to hit top 2. The 1 has the draw now and races well here for our lady May Leach. Can drive up and hold a spot and strong home. Great show.

Race 5 No. 2 Wild Amigo

Consistent dog who will go fast off the mat here and again up the back. Getting stronger and gets the right map here to put himself into the race  with speed in 1, 3 and 5 so he can track into it quickly.

Race 6 No. 8 Guess Why

Racing superbly since stepping up to the 500. Beaten a fair way last week but was held up a few times and copped trouble only to run on late. Small field suits and hard to stop from hitting top 2 and can win.

Race 7 No. 3 Apollo Fun

Tried over 500 but he simply doesn’t get it. Now back to his better trip and while those runs may have taken some edge off him, he has ability and is way overs here. Tough race but could figure if he steps and will hit the placings with luck.

Race 9 No. 6 Sammy Can Browse

Absolutely walked in last week running blistering time on the arm. Goes very fast early, has taken to racing well here and will again come out and look for lure. Leads again and crosses the 4 and it’s over. Won’t be run down. Good show here.

Race 10 No. 6 Forty One Flash

There is simply nowhere else for her to go after this. She is racing the easiest field she has ever faced. Leads and wins or she may be coming to the end of it. This is her last and only chance to win again.

SANDOWN PARK

Race 3 No. 8 Hummock and No. 7 Tiger Jack

First heat of the Sandown Cup for the stayers. The 8 has been held back for some time and finally gets to see this trip. Outstanding middle distance dog who unleashes huge sections and looks like he will get the trip. The 7 has come back enormous and while he can be clumsy around dogs, he can come from anywhere and is a great show here with a clean step.

Race 4 No. 6 Great Guy and No. 3 Zipping Patch

The 6 is a terrific staying type who has won his only 2 track and trip and been racing well over the middle trip and sprints. Versatile and can figure here. Don’t dismiss the dog in 3. The SA form is vastly inferior by a big margin and the dogs simply aren’t close to this level. However this bloke grinds away all day and some of these can’t stay or have questions over the trip. He might sneak a hole with a little luck and in a good kennel here now.

Race 5 No. 4 Wynburn Ruby and No. 8 Zipping Whiskey

This boom Tasmanian in 4 is lining up for a crack at the big time. Much like SA, the Tassie form often misses when venturing to the big smoke but this girl is a serious talent. Wins by days and while she is beating up little, there is no denying her talent. The 8 is dour and will keep coming to the line. Was ok through the feature series at The Gardens but like most other dogs that were there, the best thing for him was to get away from that track and will go better here with a clear look.

Race 6 No. 6 Targod Shirley

She isn’t the best stayer. Yet she does stay literally all day and some of these aren’t known for their strength. She will get back but starts a grinding run home and anything that stops will be passed by her. Place heavy spec at the big price. Nothing silly.

Race 7 No. 3 Kai Bale and No. 7 Adhana Rico

The Harrison Dawson and these two ran quinella in their heat and at monster quotes, can repeat the efforts to hit the frame with a little luck. The 3 is flying and well boxed and has a booming middle section while the 7 is under rated and can stun these if he gets over early and he just might hear. Don’t dismiss either dog on the place heavy basis. Trooper Tears and Amron Boy both huge shows as well in a ripping edition.

Race 8 No. 4 Kelsey Bale and No. 2 Pepita

The Sapphire Crown for the girls and we will see a different Kelsey this week. Squeezed up and no clear running last week but draw is better here and will take all sorts of stopping if she gets her room to operate. The 2 is a surprise chance here and while she can get back a little, she rails well and unleashes a strong run home. Could stun these with first turn luck. Great race with several hopes.

Race 9 No. 2 Crackerjack Aret and No. 3 Hector Fawley

The run of the 2 was just absurd last week. Slipped at box rise and held wide, he charged through the gears to finish on the heels of some weapons and should have simply won. Boxed better here and won’t be stopped with a clear run this time. Great price and he’s a an EW bet to nothing. The 3 has had a little freshen and can sprint well. Has a huge motor and will be charging home here and hard to stop if wound up.

Race 10 No. 5 My Catalina and No. 8 Panda Mick

The 5 was spat out early last week and again worked home well to finish just off them. She is very capable when given room to operate and can deliver a big last section. This slightly easier too. The 8 has been going super lately. She will spear over here looking for the arm and sticks on well. Hard to catch if she takes over at any stage.

Race 11 No. 1 Crackerjack Bull and No. 6 Aston Kalkara

He’s got some gears this 1 dog. Box keeps him close and can unleash serious fractions especially through the middle. Will take any amount of stopping here if he steps. The 6 has no early pace but he does run home well and he’s another who will charge into this late. A few suspect 500 types aid both dogs here but the red has a V8 under the hood when he’s given room to operate.

Race 12 No. 1 Kanji Venice and No. 3 Lakeview Jordy

Round out with a well drawn 1 dog here. Will track up early and sit forward and she did run into Big Energy last time which is fair form. The 2 is better known over further but she will sprint ok here. Can go through the sections strongly and will be closest on the line if she tracks into this. EW for her.
