Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Best Bets

MANDURAH

Race 3 No. 4 Turtle Fernando

Super top grade short courser who continues to race well. Drops to the fence here and he makes that good fast run through the middle and home. Can figure.

Race 7 No. 2 Alfie Tux and No. 6 Hopeland

The 2 is a good box dog who will need to be on song early as usual to miss the red. Should he do that, the rest will then have to get around the widey and that will see this bloke hard to catch. The 6 goes well here and wide draws don’t bother. Will push up and find a spot and hits the line hard over this trip.

Race 8 No. 3 Lite Monelli

Flies around here. Begins, shows dash and runs time every time. If she leads again, she wins again. She can even come from off the arm if close enough. Looks the one again. Track record holder.

Race 9 No. 6 Tarzan

This is it. no more if he doesn’t take advantage of this very easy affair. Best dog in the race and with a clear run, will take no end of stopping in the run home. Must produce and should win with any luck.

Race 11 No. 8 Silly Old Bear

The crasher in 7 give this bloke every hope but he needs to step. Got tangled back in the field last week and didn’t impact but he’s better than that and can surprise here. Early section critical. Each way player.

Race 12 No. 3 Sailor Jim and No. 4 Sunset Pacquiao

The 3 was out of his skin last time and is going super for an under rated new kennel. A good step and he can threaten again here. The 4 will dash up early and he is racing well. Drops his sub 22.5s and a repeat will see that enough to score here on the arm.

SANDOWN PARK

Race 3 No. 8 Desired Path

Sneaky hope here. She is going well and not having luck but with the 7 carving over, she gets her room to operate and she does keep finding. Can hit the frame here.

Race 6 No. 3 Piscopo Bale and No. 2 Isles Entity

Good race. The 3 is going as well as ever and she gets a good map here. Works into her races strongly and will be charging late with any clear air. The 2 is unbeaten here and she has been stepping well in VIC. Back from a campaign in NSW and goes good time on the arm. Major player.

Race 7 No. 1 Mepunga Shine

Boxed to shake the life out of this. Goes fast off the mat with dazzling muster and he’s very hard to get past when he leads. Will look to punch up again and then the others have a job to get him. Great show here.

Race 8 No. 5 Fabs Vegetable and No. 2 Ethanol Volume

The 5 just needs to offset this box early and he can give these a fright. Better than what most think, he can run time and he’s strong when given clear room. The 2 is becoming a real weapon lately. Goes around the middle of the track but has still descended on them his last two runs to score. Will be charging home again and just needs to get to the outside.
