Harry Buchanan’s Thursday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on December 14, 2023December 14, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch MANDURAH Race 3 No. 1 Beckie’s Dream and No. 6 Prompt Response The 1 will relish being back at Mandurah. She has ability and the box is perfect so don’t ignore her. She can run a race here. The 6 was horrible last week. Not sure what was going on there. He’s better than that. Another go here to atone. Race 5 No. 5 Rocky Balboa and No. 8 Blast Of Irish The 5 can still surprise. Just needs his best step. The arm is what he wants and could get it here and give them plenty. The 8 went super last week in a harder race and this is his box. He will rush up out wide and can stick on well on the run home. Looks a threat. Race 7 No. 3 Ultimate Command and No. 4 Luke’s Coal Good race. The 3 could stun here. He is so consistent and while he’s not perfectly placed outside the dog in 2, he can come out running and put himself in this. As can the 4 who is exiting from his 5th consecutive box 4. Can’t cop a break there but will give a sight if he leaves the boxes better this week. Race 10 No. 3 Silly Old Bear and No. 8 Bracton The 3 is much better suited around here. Showed that with his only run at this new circuit and will drop to the fence and run home hard. Can figure. The 8 gets a cart over and can step to make full use of that. If he was to spear over and lead he goes all the way. Race 11 No. 7 City Stage The old boy still got something in the legs. Trialled well prior to his return last start where he hit the line hard to place. Will again look to run into this late and will be a place heavy spec here. Race 12 No. 3 Dozer Can Browse This is her chance. She has the ability in this field to step and lead and then becomes very hard to catch in this company. The start is what determines her chances and she’s perfectly placed here. She is a silly quote here. SANDOWN PARK Race 2 No. 4 Ethanol Water Continues to put the big runs in and will again give another sight here. Very good behind a smart one last time and just needs first turn luck here. Big each way show. Race 3 No. 4 Ethanol Volume and No. 3 Bomb Murt Like his sister, the 4 has some bugs sections through the middle and home. Chance to land closer this week with slow beginners surrounding. Hard to hold out. The 3 was super last time and any first turn luck sees him in the finish. Will mature into a nice dog. Race 5 No. 5 Aston Michigan and No. 2 Hit Top Gear The 5 made up many lengths after bombing the start last week. Can come out most days ok so he is a great show here. Going better than it looks. The 2 will take a bit to get into his work but he’s strong and runs home hard. Well boxed down low and could land closer to be a threat at odds. Race 8 No. 8 Aunt Virginia and No. 3 Aston Gaga The Laurels Final for the girls. The 8 was outstanding for mine in her heat and she’s the huge smoky here. Can drop a dazzling run to the first turn and she runs some good time on the arm. Looking for her to rocket down to the post and try to takeover and give a monster sight from there. Will take no end of stopping if she does lead this. The 3 was good in her heat as well and she will improve here. Just needs to hold her spot on the fence and can get into the frame from there with a little luck. Race 9 No. 6 Amron Tiger Big engine and ready to win. Just needs to offset the tricky draw but he can and will prove hard to stop if he gets there early this time. Good effort last week in a Silver Chief heat and the one to beat here. Race 11 No. 2 Zelda Chaos and No. 7 Pickled Piper The 2 will look for the arm. That would see her go all the way if she doesn’t with her being very hard to catch. The 7 will come on from back but can really hit the line with gusto. Just needs to stay close up the back to be a frame player. Race 12 No. 8 Orli Bale Very promising dog with some serious nitrous under the hood. Can sustain a monster run from the back and just keeps winding up stronger and stronger. Really let’s rip when given room to operate and he gets that here from the box. Massive chance. HOBART Race 8 No. 6 Crackerjack Aret, No. 7 Ducati Roy and No. 3 Crackerjack Bull The Group 1 Hobart Thousand Final. Great race too with a field of one turn weapons. The 6 was enormous in his heat. Undoubtedly his first look at the track, he descended from the back to run the winner to a length in fast time. Draw ok here and will represent superb each way value. The 7 was also excellent. Missed the start but he caught up to some serious dogs very quickly before wilting on the run. Has a tremendous record here and overall and will give a sight. The kennel mate to the 6 goes in as well from box 3. He also came from last to round up a top field and was closing very strongly to score. Can go much faster. Will be strong late. Great edition. 6-7-3 this year. Market Market
