Will go past most these up the back and charge home and if we get around $1.80 the place it’s a lock. Can win but will hit the dais if she doesn’t do anything silly. Race 8 No. 8 Ash The Flash She’s ready. All she has to do here is muster over and cross and these won’t run her down. Has been super her last few and is stepping well and sticking on. Can handle the box. Looks a big show this time. Race 11 No. 1 Follow Me Home and No. 6 Flamenco Monelli Interesting race. The last time the 1 had this box over this start he led all the way easily. Has good early dash and if he does the same again, they will have to go sub 22 from behind to get him. I don’t think these can. The 6 is a place heavy spec. Runs on and while she is hot and cold, she can figure with luck up the back. Race 12 No. 3 Guess Why and No. 9 Youthful Spirit The 3 is a silly quote. Is capable of spearing and won’t be caught if she leads this field over this trip. Box manners are risky but has the ability. Can surprise. The 9 will be a huge price if she gets a run and don’t discard her chances. She has been steady lately but is better than that and can turn it around. Watch to see if she gets a start as there is already a scratching. MOUNT GAMBIER Race 2 No. 8 Blackpool Dill and No. 5 Charlotte’s Blaze Both dogs will find a minute here after having their first looks last week. Whichever leads will prove very hard to catch. Slight lean to the 8 because of the box but don’t be surprised if the 5 also comes out on skates. Race 3 No. 6 Sir Truculent Can absolutely beat this fav. Sailed around here last week like he owned the joint and small field suits again. It’s a very tough run here at Mt G 732m and the fav will struggle the last little bit if she has to do any work at all. This bloke will just keep on coming as he does. Even if he get to $1.50 for the place, that’s thievery. Can win though. Race 6 No. 4 Aston Marvel and No. 8 Fired Up Finn The 4 will benefit from the look last week and will be much better this time. Placed both runs here even though they were far apart. The 8 continues to surprise and can’t be dismissed here. Well boxed out there and will give these a bit to think about if he steps and shows up early. EW save for him. Race 7 No. 2 Poppy Passion The bolter of the day. Will stay nailed to the fence and keep on charging home. Better known over much longer, she has sprinted well since coming over to SA and will take any runs along the fence presented. Place heavy spec here. Race 8 No. 7 Mr Anderson and No. 5 Titan Blazer The 2023 Mt Gambier cup and it’s the Dan Gibbons show. The 7 was dazzling last week and he even tripped at the start and still led. Will rush over here and if he leads he will take no end of catching. The 5 is the known weapon here and gets into his work quickly. Strong and has competed at the top level. Can win with a clear run and can get it. Market Market
