Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on May 11, 2024May 11, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 1 Daddy’s Girl and No. 4 Girls Like You Huge run from the 1 last start and she moves to the coveted inside draw. Only has to step well and hold up early and she will be awfully hard to hold out here. The 4 is racing out of her skin at present. Will get to the fence quickly and can stick like glue all the way home. Keep her very safe on the EW. Race 3 No. 3 Disco Daisy and No. 2 Sunset Serengeti The 3 goes fast here and while she takes a step to the left at box rise, she straightens up quickly and accelerates fast to the first mark. Leads here and will take all sorts of catching on the arm. The 2 will be hard to beat as well. Comes out of the Mandurah Oaks series and goes just as well here. A clear run will see her charge home and she looks the one to beat. Race 4 No. Apple Crumble and No. 8 My Anarchy Boy The WA Derby and there are four heats which are all pearlers and this is the 1st of them. The 3 is the best smokie in the whole series. Expect him to step and spear for the arm here and the map behind him says he might get to put some space between himself the chasers. Doesn’t go much faster than 30 but that really could be enough here. Spec him EW and hope he finds the front as usual. The 8 will present at some stage and he just keeps coming. Won the Mandurah Derby is fine fashion and can bring that here easily. Box is no issue as he handles them all. Chances to 1,2 and 4 in the opening to this years Derby. Race 5 No. 6 Sunset Frazier, No. 4 Molfetta Cruise and No. 8 All About Rock Heat two and the place to be is on the arm in these races and that’s where the 2 will be. Has an unrivalled early section, an impossible 2nd split and that’s what sets his races up. Vulnerable late but will be out and running. The 4 drops back from 600 and that’s key. Will step better here and could land handy. Will charge home late as will the 8 at odds. Been going well at Mandurah and he’s strong. 2 and 7 round out the chances but need luck. Race 6 No. 7 Gimli and No. 3 West On Astro The 7 is a flying at the moment and while the draw isn’t the greatest, he can get over to the fence early and start his work. Hes going a lot better than it shows on paper. If he is close up the back he hits top two at good odds. The 3 is another who could surprise here. Still putting it all together but he will dash up early and can get in the finish with a clear run. 2 and 6 the only other chances in this Race 7 No. 7 Sneaky Emoji and No. 1 Sunset Comanche Love the 600 back to 520 form and we see that here with the 7. He could land closer than most think and good luck holding him off if that’s the case. Great top two show. As is the 1 who won well off this box last week. Has a serious run home and will be the one to hold out if he sits up handy. Drawn to play a major role. The 2 will run home well here and the 8, first up from NSW, has talent but while he might cross and lead, he walks his last section so trust needed there at the price. Race 8 No. 4 Acing Kuna and No. 5 Pudding Monelli The 4 blew it last week when she raced up to the leaders but checked off over their backs when about to run into it. She can be clumsy but she is looking for the trip now and has come back flying. The 5 only needs clear running and a repeat of last week and he will be hard to stop. Box tricky and only betting on him offsetting it. Race 11 No. 1 Flying Freda Boxed to lead, boxed to win. All but led last week when resuming over the 520. Has gone super over this track and trip in the past and runs good time on the arm. Might be one run short but has natural staying strength so very hard to mow down if she holds up with a lap to go. Huge show. Race 12 No. 6 Hippy Trail Doesn’t win many and slow early but she is right in this. Will walk out and get to the fence and then she makes that fast mid race move. If she’s close off that she can sustain it and go close here. Top two threat. THE MEADOWS Race 2 No. 8 King Eternal and No. 4 Flying Dinar Race 3 No. 3 Upon Bale and No. 6 Willow Bale Race 5 No. 7 Fled The Scene Race 6 No. 8 Binny Doo Race 7 No. 1 Crackerjack Boom Race 8 No. 1 Whodat Shanlyn Race 9 No. 6 Raven Parrot Race 12 No. 6 Bun Tornado WENTWORTH PARK Race 1 No. 6 Ritza Smoke Race 3 No. 3 Copious Race 4 No. 4 Cumbria Kid and No. 7 Energizer Miss Race 10 No. 4 Superstar Ethics and No. 8 Black Tsunami Market Market
