Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on January 8, 2024January 8, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 2 Be Pacific A 16 start maiden isn’t the ideal way to kick the meeting off and if it wasn’t for his horrid box manners, he wouldn’t be a maiden. He is faster than these, he is just clumsier. Good beginners either side means he gets the room early to get into his work sooner. It’s a spec but only if they bet each way quotes. Anything less and we will just watch. Race 3 No. 2 Levi Blazer and No. 3 Getaway Sticks The 2 looks for the pilot role here and should he get it, his backers can just about to go to the next race with their winnings. He will be awfully hard to catch here. Should he make an error, the 3 is racing well for Barry and in much harder company. He is worth a look and will be an each way price. These look the two here. Race 4 No. 8 Bee Queen and No. 4 Yunderup Sky The 8 is perfectly drawn here. Takes a right at box rise as she did last week but she looks to be back in form now and has her box. Repeat of last start sees her go close in this. The 4 doesn’t break 30 but that probably won’t matter here as there are no stars in this. He will be a double figure quote and he does keep coming in the run. Any luck and he will pass a few of these at least. Race 6 No. 8 Ranger Rickson and No. 9 Timmy Timebomb The 8 is levitating at the moment for May Leach. Broke 16 here 3 starts back and handles this draw perfectly. Very hard to beat. The 9 gets a start and is coming off an all the way win at Mandurah last week. Good beginner with early dash and hard to catch when he leads solo. Race 7 No. 8 Pea Pettigrew and No. 4 Venetian The 8 has a light year on these but it’s not his box and he did cop a lot of trouble last start. However he can step and muster and if he comes out and gets over with little fuss, this is over. A little trust is needed though that his best will arrive here. Should it not, the 4 is under rated and went well last time around here. Good middle and last sections and could be a threat if he’s close up the back. Each way go at least. Race 8 No. 7 Tears and Tanty Just couldn’t quite hold the arm last week then wanted to get wide when crossed. This box is much better and don’t be stunned if she comes out and darts around to the front here. Will give a great sight if she does. Race 9 No. 4 All About Kuna All but led last week when again poleaxed and put out of business. Box manners are usually good and if he can break the line he will then go all the way. Don’t be worried about his form. He’s had genuine excuses for a few of the recent failures. Just needs to step and lead. Race 12 No. 3 Kishka and No. 7 Smirch Birch The 3 had a great record track and trip. She was again good last week off a tricky box making fast ground through the middle to again place. Better draw and can go well here. The 7 needs a spear out but hard to stop when he leads. That’s all you’re betting on here, him getting to a striking spot before the first turn. Both top shows in this. Market Market
