Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 18, 2023September 18, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 1 No. 8 Celestial Gas Big win last week when weaving through the field for a strong victory. Well boxed to repeat and looks a huge threat here. Race 2 No. 1 Rona’s Rocket and No. 4 Entry Level The 1 has her box and will muster up along the fence early. Beautifully graded and placed to perfection here. Another good effort from the 4 last week. Keeps sustaining that good run home and a clear run is all he needs here to hit the frame. Race 3 No. 8 Shoe Shine Jo and No. 7 Dashing Onyx The 8 is boxed to get his chance to lead now. Gets a cart over and racing well and can surprise this time. The 7 will step fast and cross up quickly and he can be hard to catch if he leads solo. At the very least he gives the pink a saloon trail over. Both good EW hopes. Race 5 No. 1 Riverside Lenny Has an electric turn of foot after box rise and comes off an all the way win here last week and in very good time. Moves to Box 1 now and that spells more danger for the rest. Looks a monster show here. Race 6 No. 6 Something Fun and No. 2 Over Zealous The 6 is a regular here and on this page and he has struck a winnable race for him. Can show pace and is getting stronger this trip now. Don’t ignore. The 2 is a stayer and it’s been a long time since she won. However this is the kind of race she will descend on them from the back. Can make a good mid race move and will drop on them late. Could stun these. Race 7 No. 4 Adventure Queen and No. 6 Liberty Pop The 4 just needs her best step and she can give a sight at odds here. Has some good track and trip form and early pace and she runs time. Box only issue. The 6 will show dash as well. She is hard to run down when she leads solo first turn and will punch up quickly out wide. Can go all the way with her best step. Race 8 No. 3 I’m Upstairs Has really found a new level lately. Loves it here and can get up there early or come from the back. Small field suits perfectly and will charge into this with any luck at all and run some time with it. Great show here. Race 9 No. 8 Warm Regards and No. 5 Kanji Giant A race that might present first turn trouble. That will bring the strong dog in 8 into this. She can roll into her work up the back and nothing will hit the line harder. The 5 is relishing the move to Northam and he will keep chasing throughout and has been racing some handing fields and winning lately. Good show again. Race 10 No. 3 Carlecatup and No. 4 Refer To Trader The 3 is airborne for Eric and will show her customary box speed to drive for the arm early. Very hard to catch when she gets it as she is running time at the present. The 4 loves it here and can lead or come from behind. Will look for galloping room up the back and keep attacking the line late. Save there at the EW. Race 11 No. 6 Agent Eleven and No. 1 Starlight Gina The 6 will accelerate quickly here and has a fast win to her credit over this track and trip. Best chance is with her leading on her own. The 1 will appreciate the inside box here and land much closer this weeks has a lot of talent and very hard to hold out if she’s close turning. Save there as well. Race 12 No. 4 Wise Merino and No. 5 Sunnyside Boy The 4 is a chance here. Run was good last week behind a flyer and this is markedly easier. Will get his time down again and can figure. The 5 will try and muster and lead here. Has good early toe and he’s a different dog when he finds the top early. Last bit can test but this track will suit. Don’t dismiss him. Market Market
