MANDURAH

Race 3 No. 9 Banjo Flame

Incredibly gifted short courser who will again be a force if she gets a start. Has won 3 from 33 for one reason only, her box manners!! Most days she misses it by 5L and quickly recovers with an amazing turn of foot to finish in the placings. She has stepped before and if she does against these, she will decimate them.

Race 6 No. 6 Mack Attack and No. 2 Isolated

The 6 looks to have found his race here. Has squared off against much better opposition lately and that alone would be enough. He is well boxed however as he likes to scout wide turning and he can show early dash as well. Looks the one. The 2 is a threat here after a good 2nd to Nadia Bale. Begins well and can stick on over this short trip. Worth a save at odds.

Race 7 No. 7 Incredible Pinto and No. 8 Flokis Revenge

Our two regulars who have again drawn identical to last week against each other and once again, it will be a simple matter of who gets there first into the back. The 7 was unlucky not to cross last time and that allowed the 8 to sweep into it. They ran the quinella in that and can do again. Back both.

Race 9 No. 4 Charos Reward

Has a superb win rate and only needs to offset the draw to figure here. Can dash up quickly after box rise and will get a nice drag into this off the dog in 3. Look for her to be prominent and stick on strongly.

Race 10 No. 8 Impact Mac and No. 4 Paddy Whack

The 8 certainly has his box here and if he can stay close, will descend down the centre late with a big last section. Has a 22.65 here and has done all his racing at this track. The 4 is simply ready to win. In outstanding form and beaten by good dogs lately, he has hit the silver medal his last 4 starts. Only needs a look to win.

Race 11 No. 2 Sitizano Rocks

Under rated dog who looks a huge show here. Made a late charge when getting clear last week but the bird had well and truly flown. Will want to get to the middle of the track but he can’t be stopped if he gets there will little hassle. Looks the major player tonight and best bet.

SANDOWN PARK

Race 8 No. 6 Bell Burner and No. 7 Wizardry Magic

The 6 is making his 700m debut and judging by his recent form and who his mother was, it was only a matter of time. Out of the former great staying bitch Bells are Ringin, he looks to have his mum’s stamina and talent. Can reel off big sections and should go close at his debut over the trip. Have a sneaky save on the 7. She does a lot of silly things in her races but she has ability and can run home all day. Can win if she makes good decisions. Main go 6 and save 7 EW.

MOUNT GAMBIER

Race 6 No. 2 Locked

Dropping back in distance which I favour a lot when it’s 600m back to 500m. This is his track and only has to stay out of early strife to go through the gears up the back and be far too strong. If he lands close, it’s over.

MURRAY BRIDGE

Race 6 No. 5 Mepunga Mustang

Brutal watching what unfolded last start. Covered a stack of ground wide while going around the field in his heat of the Cup, only to fall a length short on the line. This is simple, if they leave him be, give him a look, he will punish them accordingly. Winner of 11 from 20, runs blistering time on a variety of tracks and will win if he offsets the draw.

Race 8 No. 6 Jacks Well

The 2022 Murray Bridge Cup. Monster performance by this warrior last week in the heat. Came from a mile back to round up a runaway front runner who is strong and hard to catch. One of his better wins and there has been plenty with him scoring 31 times from 66 starts. Outstanding each way show and wins if he can settle closer here.
