Harry Buchanan’s Daily Greyhound Tips

CANNINGTON

Race 1 No. 6 Sassy Blade

Will be any old price and she doesn’t win often but there is a world where Sass can at least place here. Her runs have not been that bad and while she will need luck, she can hit the podium at a monster quote if there is any trouble. Small spec place heavy.

Race 3 No. 1 Danielle Keeping and No. 5 Tsar Bell

The 1 is the class stayer here and if she can keep in touch early, will not miss a place. Look for her late to hit the line. The 5 was nothing short of sickening last week at $1.30. Found more trouble than me in a free kebab shop and was hard to watch. Giving him one more chance to show that was just a bad night. Can stay.

Race 4 No. 5 Sunset Whistler, No. 7 Momentum and No. 3 Yahoo Serious

The 2022 Paradise Street final and what a tremendous field we have here. One of the hardest races to dissect I’ve ever come across thanks to a box draw that gives several dogs some chance. There are 3 bets to be had here. The 5 goes on top and he’s a great EW price as well. The box isn’t that bad for mine and the sooner he finds the fence, the sooner he can go through that set of gears he possesses. Should he rail to the lead then this is over!! The 7 will go fast out wide and try and cross into a striking spot here. He is one of WA’s most formidable weapons and took the step up to 600m last week like the pro he is. He will find more again and is a huge hope. Win save on him. We will also take the double figures about the 3 who was enormous in his heat behind the 7. Did not shirk the task at any stage and is bred to get this trip and more. Can run time and will look to settle up behind the early pace and take over as early as possible. Will give a huge sight with a clear run. The 5 and 3 get EW plays and a win save on 7 for this years edition. Great race.

Race 5 No. 4 Mick Flash

He jumped too well last week and it cost him dearly. He is better off reverting to his usual box manners and walking out to find the fence. One out, would give any of these windburn but a field can be his Achilles heel. Needs that fence and clear running and he will hit the frame here no problems.

Race 6 No. 1 Pilbara

Superb performer who has raced some of the better stayers and done it in style. Box put him out of business last start but the move to the inside will see him land closer and he has the superior sections to get over these. Massive chance here.

Race 7 No. 2 Jimmy’s Decision

In the best kennel in the business and will be set for a forward showing here. Has found lengths since joining Paul Stuart and was unlucky last time behind West On Brae. Prior, he set Mandurah alight and could go even quicker I’m certain. None of these will hold him if he gets the good map and is the one to beat.

Race 9 No. 4 Westdale Ryker and No. 8 Magic Salute

Finish up with a couple of smokies who can weave their way through and hit the podium here. The 4 keeps going around at odds but finds a way to work into the placings and will so again here. The 8 gets one last chance boxed out wide off this corner start and he can descend on these easily at his best. Backing both place heavy.

WENTWORTH PARK

Race 3 No. 5 Charlie’s Jar

A consistent performer who can offset this box. Has raced through some tough series recently and back to this company will see him very hard to beat. Breaks 30 and can hit the podium here with a good first split and turn.

Race 6 No. 4 Four Five

Ultra consistent and is slowly making his way towards the fence draws. Looks for the rails early then goes through the gears to hit the line hard. Will do so again and only needs luck up the back to be there at the finish.

Race 8 No. 4 Zambora Charlie

Enigmatic but very very good when he’s on. That usually happens when he gets a look at the arm up the back. Seems to unleash a big run home when he’s close and that can happen here. Will descend late.

THE MEADOWS

Race 5 No. 7 Spanish Miss

Looks a monster hope here and only has to hold a line out wide to be in the finish. Has superb mid race sectionals and an even better run home and she will be smashing the line here at a great EW price. Best bet to hit the podium.

Race 7 No. 4 Indy Honey

Will be odds but if her best box manners arrive, she could give a tremendous sight here. Has raced some good opposition in the past and is now 3rd up and ready to fire.

Race 8 No. 1 Aston Pablo and No. 8 Hank The Hustler

The 1 is a promising stayer and he is starting to put it all together. If he can hold a spot early, he can work into this late and hit the frame. The 8 looks the hardest to beat. His best would decimate these and gets a save at the very least. Only has to secure a clear run and get over to win. Playing both dogs here for a result.

Race 10 No. 7 Maelynn Bale

Shocked last week when she came from off the arm to run on strongly. A known front runner with brilliant box manners, she only need to replicate that run to be a force here. Will prove hard to catch if she finds the top.
