Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 2, 2017March 2, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC WESTBRED QUALIFYING HEAT 1 MS PACE MILITARY MASTER (11) was a good winner over MISTER VERSACE (5) two starts back before being hopelessly held up last week. He has a nice trailing draw and looks a major player. MISTER VERSACE (5) split the points in two recent battles with MILITARY MASTER (11) before finishing 4th in a hot race at Bunbury and should be thereabouts again. RICH YANKEE (6) has been racing in weaker company but his last start win indicated he is getting back to his best. AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (8) has changed stables and trialled well recently. Tips: 11 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: MILITARY MASTER (11) each way. Race 2: SCHNEIDER ECOXPERT MARES MS PACE HONEY AND LIME (1) doesn’t have the class of her main rivals but is drawn to lead and should give a great sight. She has won two of her past three in easier company and the rise in class is offset by the draw. GIULIANA RANCIC (5) has won two of her last four and looks a major player here. STUNIN EYES ONLY (11) won well two starts back before working too hard at her next run and has a nice trailing draw. SHES ARTFUL (8) is racing consistently and can be in the finish if she gets the right cart into the race. Tips: 1 5 11 8 Suggested Bet: HONEY AND LIME (1) each way. Race 3: CLIPSAL MS PACE BUNGALOW BILL (2) has been placed at his last three after facing the breeze, including a strong 2nd to American Boy here last week. He is a chance to find the front tonight and will be hard to catch if that eventuates. KIWI LEGEND (7) is probably the best horse in the race but does his best work on the pegs. BRONZE SEEKER (8) is flying and will be running on again and is suited by the small field. OUR REGAL IDEAL (1) is racing very consistently and won’t be far away from the pole. Tips: 2 7 8 1 Suggested Bet: BUNGALOW BILL (2) to win. Race 4: SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC MS PACE NEW WORLD ORDER (3) has been costly for followers but wasn’t disgraced when beaten as a $1.70 favourite two starts back and then copped a check when down the track in better company last start. He looks the best horse in the race but can find a way to lose. CHAR DO NEIGH (12) has plenty of ability but hasn’t been displaying his best form recently. IM LISART (1) must be considered on his close 3rd after leading from this draw two starts back. ATLASTALONE (4) has been racing well in stronger company and has gate speed. Tips: 3 12 1 4 Suggested Bet: NEW WORLD ORDER (3) to win. Race 5: CLIPSAL & SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC LIFE IS ON MS PACE LAGOON STRIDE (1) hasn’t won in his last 20 starts but he performed well when leading and finishing a close 3rd to Must Be Nice. He has gate speed and is suited over the sprint trip and can beat his better-performed rivals. CONDRIEU (2) hasn’t had a chance to show his best recently but is drawn to be driven positively and should be a big improver. LISHARY (6) and COURAGE TELLS (9) have been racing well in stronger fields but will both need luck from their draws. Tips: 1 2 6 9 Suggested Bet: LAGOON STRIDE (1) to win. Race 6: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 3YO FILLIES WA SALES CLASSIC RED HOT ROXY (6) won four of her seven starts as a 2YO and returned from a spell with a dominant win from the breeze. This field is only marginally stronger and she is clearly the one to beat. BETSHES PRECIOUS (1) has been racing fairly in stronger company and is drawn perfectly here. BEACH GODDESS (8) led throughout to beat the boys two starts back and has the strength to overcome this draw. MILLIONDOLLAHANOVA (4) finished 3rd to RED HOT ROXY (6) last start and can be placed again. Tips: 6 1 8 4 Suggested Bet: RED HOT ROXY (6) to win. Race 7: CLIPSAL BY SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS WA SALES CLASSIC BOB WHEEL (4) is racing consistently with two wins from his last three starts with the defeat coming in the Caduceus Club Classic in stronger company. He has breezed in both his recent wins and looks the one to beat. THE BEACHCOMBER (2) was held up when 5th to BOB WHEEL (4) at his last start and can give a sight if he finds the top. KASEY JOHN (9) can do things wrong but has the ability to overcome the wide draw. LET IT ROLL (11) led throughout to beat easier company two starts back and looks a place chance. Tips: 4 2 9 11 Suggested Bet: BOB WHEEL (4) to win. Race 8: CLIPSAL ICONIC MS PACE FIFTH EDITION (4) has a vastly superior record to his rivals but disappointed at his first WA run and was scratched from another event recently. He will be extremely hard to beat if anywhere near his top but has to be taken on trust. OUR JACCKA MARA (1) has been battling bad barriers and can be a big improver from the draw. DEBT FREE CHARLIE (5) was racing extremely well at the end of his last campaign and should be fitter after two runs back. BLINDING LIGHT (9) hasn’t started in eight months but has the ability if right. Tips: 4 1 5 9 Suggested Bet: FIFTH EDITION (4) to win. Race 9: CLIPSAL SATURN MS PACE JAMES GALLEON (5) has struggled to break through this campaign but has run nice placings at his last two starts and will appreciate a considerable drop in class. A FORCE IN ACTION (1), has impressed with a win and 2nd at his last two starts and the rise in class is offset by his perfect barrier. OUR BIG SLOW (10) was a good 4th last start and is drawn to get a cosy trip. TOMMY BE GOOD (9) was very impressive in winning a stand at his first run back from a spell and can play a part despite his wide draw. Tips: 5 1 10 9 Suggested Bet: JAMES GALLEON (5) to win. SuperPick - Race 9 no. 5 JAMES GALLEON - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 10: CLIPSAL SPARK YOUR IMAGINATION MS PACE MESSI (6) finished less than 9 metres from the winner in the Caduceus Club Classic and will appreciate a significant drop in class tonight. FOXY DAME (11) has been racing well in stronger company including a 3rd to The Parade in the Empress Stakes and must be considered. EL HOMBRE (5) suffered a flat tyre and couldn’t get into the race last start but should be an improver here. QUESTIONABLE GESTURE (10) is flying with placings at his last eight starts but has an awkward draw to overcome. Tips: 6 11 5 10 Suggested Bet: MESSI (6) to win Bet Now
