Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 23, 2016September 23, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: LUGARNO GUMBY PUNTERS CLUB MS PACE MIGHTY MAJOR (1) has finished near the rear at his last three starts but hasn’t had much luck and should be a big improver tonight. He led throughout from this draw to beat a strong field four starts back and gets his chance here. TACT MAJOR (9) clearly has the best form in this field but has to overcome the wide barrier over the sprint trip. THE REVOLUTION (8) finished alongside TACT MAJOR (8) last start and should be thereabouts again. YOUR EXCUSED (10) should enjoy a nice run and can be placed. Tips: 1 9 8 10 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY MAJOR (1) to win. Race 2: TABFORM MS PACE KIWI LEGEND (2) wasn’t racing at his best but had three weeks between runs before a very comfortable all the way win last week. He looks extremely hard to beat if he finds the front again but may not get it all his own way. SWIMBETWEENTHEFLAGS (1) had his first start for a new stable and was impressive in working his way to the front in a stand and recording a dominant victory. The early tactics that he employs will be crucial to the outcome. MATTJESTIC STAR (5) and IDEAL JUSTICE (6) ran 2nd and 4th to Smokey The Bandit last week and will be running home if the early pace is genuine. Tips: 2 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: KIWI LEGEND (2) to win. Race 3: THE FORM RACING LIFTOUT MS PACE RISK (9) was impressive in winning his first three starts in WA before having his chance when 2nd to Ima Connoisseur. The winner did rate 1.53.4 on that occasion so the effort was sound and he should run a big race tonight. MYNAMESKENNY (4) has won 12 of his last 15 and looks ready for the rise in class. BURNING (2) was a good winner over El Jacko last start and would be extremely hard to catch if he finds the front. MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (8) is proven in this company and will be charging home. Tips: 9 4 2 8 Suggested Bet: RISK (9) to win. Race 4: RADIO GREAT SOUTHERN HARNESS PREVIEW THE WARWICK MARES QUALIFYING HEAT 3 ROYAL MYTH (11) has won 8 of her 17 race starts and won twice and finished a close 5th to Bronze Seeker in her last efforts before a spell. She resumes here without a trial but will be hard to beat if near right. SUZIES GEM (9) was rewarded for her consistent form when breaking through for an easy win last start. She is drawn wide tonight but can still be a major player. GOTA GOOD LOOK ADDA (2) won at big odds three starts back and could find the front here. ITS MY LUCKNOW (3) is racing consistently and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 11 9 2 3 Suggested Bet: ROYAL MYTH (11) to win. Race 5: LONGEST PRICE WINNER – PAT HARDING WESTBRED FINAL SHEER ROCKNROLL (4) won three in a row before she wasn’t suited when racing near the rear in a slowly run heat of this race last start. She is likely to be driven more aggressively tonight and should run a big race. BLACKLIST (1) led throughout in solid time in his heat and will give them something to catch again. MAKO SHADOW (8) has been impressive in winning his two starts for a new stable and can overcome the wide draw if there is a solid tempo. ARGYLE RED (7) was a close 2nd to BLACKLIST (1) in his heat and will be charging home again. Tips: 4 1 8 7 Suggested Bet: SHEER ROCKNROLL (4) to win. Race 6: LEADING TIPSTER – KEN CASELLAS MS PACE SMOKEY THE BANDIT (8) couldn’t get clear when 3rd in 1.53.4 before getting a perfect cart up and winning well last start. He has the best turn of foot in this field and will be hard to hold out if he is close enough at the 400. DELIGHTFUL OFFER (9) has trialled fairly since suffering an atrial fibrillation and would be hard to beat if at his best. ROCKY MARCIANO (1) and COMMANDER CHAPEL (4) both have long losing sequences but are racing fairly and could improve tonight. Tips: 8 9 1 4 Suggested Bet: SMOKEY THE BANDIT (8) to win. Race 7: MEDIA GUILD CUP MS PACE LIBERTYBELLE MIDFREW (1) hasn’t won since her brilliant heat win in the Interdominion but indicated she was back to something like her best with a fast finishing 3rd to Bettors Fire last week. She should be in the firing line throughout and should give a great sight. TRICKY STYX (2) was held up last start and has the turn of foot to be dangerous from this draw. BEAUDIENE BOAZ (8) failed at his last two starts before a spell but can’t be discounted despite the wide draw. THE BUCKET LIST (6) will be charging late and won’t be far away. Tips: 1 2 8 6 Suggested Bet: LIBERTYBELLE MIDFREW (1) to win. Race 8: MOST WINNERS IN A NIGHT AWARD MARES MS PACE GIULIANA RANCIC (2) resumed from a spell with a fair 3rd to Hidden Bad last week. She isn’t the most genuine mare but is likely to find the front and could break through for her first win in almost a year. DELIGHTFUL JADE (9) has been racing well in stronger company and will appreciate the drop back to mares’ company tonight. TYPHOON TAN (8) faced the breeze when too strong last week and must be considered again. RACY LACY (1) doesn’t have the class of most of these but can be placed from this draw. Tips: 2 9 8 1 Suggested Bet: GIULIANA RANCIC (2) to win. Race 9: TUXEDO TOUR – 2015 MEDIA GUILD CUP WINNER MS PACE BHAGWAN (3) has been racing well without winning but gets his chance against this moderate field. He will attempt to find the front and would be extremely hard to catch if he does lead but should still be competitive from the breeze. LORD LOMBO (6) has been racing in stronger company and will be finishing hard if there is a solid tempo. LITTLE BOY BLUE (2) could improve dramatically if he can lead and must be considered. MY MATE STRIDE (1) isn’t at the top of his game but can be placed from this draw. Tips: 3 6 2 1 Suggested Bet: LORD LOMBO (6) each way. Race 10: GPHR MEDIA GUILD TIPS @ WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU MS PACE ONA HAPPY NOTE (11) comes to WA with only moderate NSW form but he has been racing in tougher company. He has been trialling nicely at Byford in preparation for this assignment and looks hard to beat. SOHO EASTWOOD (5) raced in better class before a break and will be competitive if near his top. MASTER PLAY (1) and NIK DIRECT (2) don’t have great form but have the draws to give them a chance to be in the money. Tips: 11 5 1 2 Suggested Bet: ONA HAPPY NOTE (11) to win. Bet Now
