Race 1

Open race. The exposed form looks to have the edge over the unraced brigrade from the bigger stables. SALUDAR is entitled to start favourite out of the flying Begg stable, latest jumpout at Pakenham was solid enough winning on the synthetic track over 1000m, he appears to ready to go. FRENCH ACCORD is up and going and has been good in two strong maidens where she appreciated the heavy track last start at Geelong. SIDURI held her ground behind a promising debut winner at Bendigo, may find this easier. CHAMPAGNE ANYONE best of the debutants.

Race 2

ONE DAY AT A TIME showed speed at Flemington and stuck on ok at the 1200m first-up. Back to 1000m is a positive and should take catching. EGYPTIAN DANCER brings the right form into this midweek 2YO race, she’ll get the sit on the speed, LADY MOSCATO is a betting watch, resumes after two trials in Sydney which are hard to line up. FONTALICIOUS knocked up late at Morphettville, last 100m will again test.

Race 3

Speed looks ok. SHULTZY is airborne and well-placed on the 7-day back-up just needs them to run along early. IDON’TGETIT will make her run with him and she comes off a win at her 1st attempt over 2400m at Mt Gambier, the inside draw could be a problem. OMAMORI runs well, very consistent, rarely a winner. FURTHEREST POINT hit the line nicely last start, up in grade, should be in the mix.

Race 4

TAN TAT DELIGHT got a long way back on the Lakeside here last time with a gap between runs, she was never in the hunt. The win at Sale suggests she has more upside and the speed is genuine. Big win by JENNI AGOGO on debut at Pakenham, chimed in strongly down the outside and could improve further on turf. ICE QUAKE has always shown talent and the blinkers clearly helped breaking through in a moderate race. LANTANA is consistent, she can get keen so 1400 is a query.

Race 5

Keen on SOJU, long time out of the winners stall but did finish off well at Sale with the addition of blinkers, scratched from a similar race at Sandown last week, she can sit off a good tempo and charge over the top. MYSTIC REIN can win fresh, suited to 1000m if she can hold off the pressure surrounding her. MISS COTOLETTA was ordinary second-up at Cranbourne, she’s better than what she showed there and could improve sharply. SALUTED has a liking for this course & distance, if the inside is the right place she’s also a winning hope.

Race 6

PERTECT TEN appears to have found the perfect race to win again having a good preparation this time in. She’s drawn to be handy with Craig Williams aboard and only needs clear running to be in the finish. STONECOAT ran a super race for the new connections first-up on the Lakeside course going forward, with the added fitness and scratching of key speed runners she looks to lead again. RUAKAKA RAIDER has just been battling, head gear back on could see him improve.

Race 7

Even race for the fillies & mares, ICED POPPY was super winning first-up at a big price, she had jumped out like a horse who had improved and raced on a good speed and kept finding throughout at Bendigo. She’s still on the up and some hope in a wide open race. If ALL BUSINESS can recapture her form second-up she’s worth considering, blinkers back on to spark the improvement. HAPPY TIERS has a tricky draw but drops back into something easier and warrants respect. PROVEN SOUL always consistent.

Race 8

A brutal finish for the punters, going wide in the quaddie. Speed should be good with GEORGIES GOT MAD setting it up. JOIN THE QUE was strongly supported defeating a subsequent winner on the Pakenham polytrack last start. He was a game winner of a competitive BM66 at Swan Hill prior, hard to knock recent form and goes on top. ZUNNA chased well behind a progressive winner on the lakeside last start and a repeat effort goes close. JENNI MULTABELLA is the most interesting runner, talented but had issues, looked capable of city grade early in her career and first-up run sound.
