Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on July 16, 2026July 16, 2026 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 A small field with a few untried at the distance, speed looks ok despite the field size. KO PHANGAN may use the inside to kick up with Craig Williams aboard or take the drop on DELHARA and STUNNING KITTY who can be prominent. The Busuttin & Young galloper should be strong late at the end of 1800m and looks a safe play in the opener. NOTIFIED has the upside, comes off two synthetic runs to date, market? ACHY BREAKY HEART coming at them late. Selections: 1,2,3,4 Suggested Bet: KO PHANGAN win RACE 2 HARD KICK is a natural 2YO and deserves his place at the top of the market after his impressive debut win in the Talindert stakes. Two jumpouts, hard to see him going backwards and 1000m fresh looks ideal with his gate speed. PANCHENKO turned heads winning in good time at Bendigo and showed a neat turn of foot in the straight after sitting outside lead. No jumpout since. RIVIERINA LULU is a Blue Point filly on debut with G Begg also appears suited to 1000m and POCKETFULLOFCASH has done everything with ease at the Pak jumpouts ahead of his debut. Selections: 1,9,7,6 Suggested Bet: HARD KICK win RACE 3 MADIYAA blotted her copybook last start but was found to be lame and rider J Mott did not ride her out, blinkers go on for the final and she is well-placed in a race lacking depth against her own sex. Radley’s 2kg claim important. CHANGING COLOURS was good first-up running on, her will to win is the query. CAT NOIR is racing extremely well this campaign and can give a sight on-speed. MARINE EMPRESS improves second-up and another claiming right down for this target race. Selections: 5,3,9,10 Suggested Bet: MADIYAA win RACE 4 Keen on LAURA ELIZA to make the leap from maiden winner to this Saturday grade race for fillies. Shown improvement with each jumpout and between race starts winning impressively at Sale. Expect her crossing from a wide gate and landing in the front pair and hardest to beat. Best of the day. Even bunch behind her, LICENTIOUS was dominant in a weak maiden at Bendigo and clearly had this race in mind following, freshened with a jumpout in between. MISAPPREHEND and CHERISH ME both have bigger reputations and some winning claims. Selections: 14,7,2,8 Suggested Bet: LAURA ELIZA win RACE 5 Hardest race of the day, angles everywhere. FLYING KHAN was the flashing light run out of the Silver Bowl Final held here last start, his lack of gate speed and the low draw could be a problem but there is a good tempo expected and the extra distance is in his favour. Big watch runner is MR AVERY, hard to line up from a form perspective but is in astute hands and stable know which horses to send south. Any rain helps. SIRIUSLY HOT can take a sit this time if they choose and leave a bit extra for late in the race with speed drawn around him. FLYING DONE can stick on for the minor money, always consistent. Selections: 8,10,4,3 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 6 Good race for the Sydney visitor BLACK RUN coming south in good form, looks to get a soft, uncontested lead and loves soft ground. Hard to beat. BOLD SOUL and HIGHLAND BLAZE is strong form, the latter was very strong at the end of 2600m in the Banjo Patterson and suited further by the extra furlong, the former now has blinkers added. PARVATI PARTY is on the improve since joining the new stable and is bred to appreciate the extra trip although untried. SAMUEL LANGHORNE always a threat, rarely a winner. Suggested Bet: BLACK RUN win RACE 7 Sprint race with no speed, whoever grabs the initiative will fight out the finish, BARARI is the starting point, held up at a key stage in the Creswick and was ok once clear, smart claim down to 51kg and with more luck should figure. MOBY DICK was caught up in the crawl in the listed Santaanalane, unfortunately finds a similar set-up on paper at least. If the inside is ok, WOLFY can run well again, he’s in form despite needing a win and another carrying no weight. Selections: 11,4,13,12 Suggested Bet: Exotics RACE 8 There is speed early. 1,6,11 all go forward, NELLIE LEYLAX gets a sit in behind the forward bunch and is well-placed to repeat the last start win at Caulfield, again in a similar race. He is three weeks between runs, the only concern. SAINT GEORGE is another who maps well coming across to a midfield position, he got home nicely fresh and generally improves with a run. BANKERS CHOICE is hard & fit and racing consistently, again has minor money claims. So too GLORY DAZE now third-up ready to show something. Selections: 7,2,1,6 Suggested Bet: NELLIE LEYLAX win RACE 9 The pace looks even. ONE HARD LADY can take it up down on the inside, her last 50m is always the test. NEXT STOP IOWA had no excuses when well-backed at Caulfield last start, C Williams replaces the apprentice and will surely stay wide out and lead up the outer brigade. ALONG THE RIVER is likely to prominent on-speed from the outer draw and BRING ME POWER also in the forward half. STREET ARTIST was in need of the run fresh and should improve again, his jumpout was impressive leading in, not a horse you can take a short quote about with great confidence on what he’s shown to date but does get blinkers. Selections: 13,10,11,4 Suggested Bet: Exotics Market Market
