Flemington 30 January – Thoroughbred Preview Posted on January 29, 2016 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 1 NO. 6 SUPIDO It looks a day for the favourites and SUPIDO should start the ball rolling with a win in the Benchmark 78 Plate (1100m). The lightly raced four year old has only had four starts for two wins including an impressive win over 1100 metres at Flemington on July 18. He has been given plenty of time to mature by trainer Michael Kent and this should be the preparation for SUPIDO to show his best form. This looks a very suitable race and he appeals as one of the better bets f the day. RACE 4 NO. 3 SECOND BULLET In-form middle distance galloper SECOND BULLET looks well placed to record a hat trick of wins when he runs in the Doriemus Handicap (2000m). The five year old has been dominant in his past two wins at this track and distance, firstly on January 1 before another commanding display on January 16. Damien Oliver retains the ride and SECOND BULLET should be in a prominent position in running; sure to run well again. RACE 8 NO. 9 CAMDUS CAMDUS is progressing through the grades nicely and looks the to beat again when he contests the Kyle Smith Handicap (1400m). The son of Street Cry has won three of his four starts to date which includes a comprehensive win over 1400 metres at Sandown on January 6. That was a tough run so the 24 days between runs looks ideal for him to produce another strong showing. He is drawn for a cheap run, Craig Williams takes the ride and drops sharply in weight on his recent runs so everything is in place for CAMDUS to continue on his winning way. Bet Now
