Deane’s Flemington Saturday Best Bets Posted on September 15, 2017September 15, 2017 | Posted by Deane Lester Extra SuperPicks for Flemington – Races 1 & 2 RACE 1 JORDA is the class runner of this field and looks one of the standout bets of the day. SuperPick - RACE 1 NO. 1 JORDA - Win Boost RACE 2 Whilst TOGA PICTA looks a great winning chance at good odds, he is a really safe place bet with ROYAL SYMPHONY looming large as the danger. SuperPick - RACE 2 NO. 7 TOGA PICTA - Place Boost Deane Lester’s Best Bets RACE 1 NO. 1 JORDA Classy filly JORDA will be fitter for one run back from a long spell and looks the one to beat when she contests the Cap D’Antibes Stakes (1100m). The James Cummings trained galloper resumed with a luckless 3rd behind high class colt PARIAH in the San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill on August 26. That was her first race since her debut win at Randwick in October 2016 so she will be open to plenty of improvement and strikes an easier race here. Elite rider Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride and JORDA appeals as one of the better bets of the day. RACE 2 NO. 7 TOGA PICTA The Cummings/ McEvoy combination join forces again with TOGA PICTA in the Pin and Win Plate (1400m) who looks the best value of the day. The son Of Lonhro resumed from a spell with an unlucky 7th behind DRACARYS in the Up and Coming Stakes (1300m) at Randwick on August 19. The colt was badly held up for a run at a crucial stage of the race but finished off well suggesting the extra distance of this race is in his favour. He is drawn for a good run and should have a tactical advantage on his main rival in this race, the unbeaten and exciting colt ROYAL SYMPHONY. It promises to be a good race, however TOGA PICTA looks a good each way chance. RACE 5 NO. 6 CATCHY The Danehill Stakes (1200m) is a feature race for the early season three year olds and last season’s best Melbourne juvenile CATCHY can show that she is still the dominant galloper of her age group with a win in this race. The daughter of Fastnet Rock resumed with a solid second behind CROWN WITNESS in the Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 19. She has been given plenty of time to improve off that run and the extra distance of that race is in her favour. She has beaten the males on a couple of occasions and looks well placed to record her fifth win from 7 starts. SuperPick - RACE 5 NO. 6 CATCHY - Win Boost [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now” link=”https://www.tabtouch.com.au/racing/2017-09-16/mr” linkrel=””] *A maximum of one SuperPick on an individual race.
