Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 14, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: CONGRATULATIONS TO GLOUCESTER PARK`S 2016/17 SEASON AWARD WINNERS MS PACE JUST BET ON BLACK (3) was a good winner in slick time four starts back and has been racing in stronger company at his subsequent runs. He drops in class here and should prove hard to beat. OHOKA DARCY (1) won well four starts back but hasn’t taken any serious part in his past three runs and can be a big improver from the pole. OUR ZAK WHITBY (9) ran a great 2nd last week but is poorly drawn over the sprint trip. WEBB ELLIS (10) should obtain a nice run and looks a good place chance. Tips: 1 7 6 2 Suggested Bet: JUST BET ON BLACK (3) to win. SuperPick - Race 1 no. 3 JUST BET ON BLACK - Money Back Race 2: 2016/17 GLOUCESTER PARK LEADING JUNIOR DRIVER – MICHAEL GRANTHAM MARES MS PACE DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK (9) has won two of her last four starts and was a solid 3rd to Thereugo last week. She is drawn poorly but clearly has the best form in this field and is the one to beat. AUCTIONEERS ELSU (7) has been finishing her races off strongly and will be running on again here. FOXY DAME (6) disappointed last start but would be right in this on her previous form. OUR JEREMES GEM (1) looks the leader and will give them something to catch. Tips: 9 7 6 1 Suggested Bet: DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK (9) to win. Race 3: 2016/17 GLOUCESTER PARK LEADING DRIVER – CHRIS LEWIS MS PACE WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (9) has raced very consistently since coming to WA and ran a distant 3rd behind Idealindiamonds last week. They ran home in 54.8 on that occasion but will come home a lot slower tonight and he can overcome the wide draw. IM MASTER CHARLIE (8) is the other class runner of this field and has the advantage of drawing inside his main rival. BETTOR TWISTED (5) was a nice 3rd here on Tuesday and can be placed again. OUR JACCKA MARA (6) is the best of the rest. Tips: 9 8 5 6 Suggested Bet: WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (9) to win. Race 4: 2016/17 GLOUCESTER PARK LEADING TRAINER – GREG & SKYE BOND MS PACE MIGHTY MISTER SHARKEY (5) has found the front from similar draws at his last two starts and has beaten stronger fields than he encounters here. He is a good chance to find the top again and is clearly the one to beat. FERNLEIGH REBEL (12) was only 8m from Shandale when 5th to that pacer last start and this is a big drop in class. MACHRIE (1) ran 5th to MIGHTY MISTER SHARKEY (5) last start and should be thereabouts from the pole. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (11) has a nice trailing draw and can be placed. Tips: 5 12 1 11 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY MISTER SHARKEY (5) to win. Race 5: 2016/17 GLOUCESTER PARK TROTTER OF THE YEAR – LIGHTNING CALDER MS PACE LISHARRY (1) raced in significantly stronger company last campaign, including a close 3rd to Galactic Star in good time. He resumes here without a trial but will be hard to beat if near his top. His stablemate, BRONZE SEEKER (9), is in the same boat and will be charging home if he is forward in condition. TANAKA EAGLE (4) has the advantage of race fitness and was a good last start winner at Pinjarra. DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (7) will appreciate tackling an easier assignment and can improve. Tips: 1 9 4 7 Suggested Bet: LISHARRY (1) to win. Race 6: 2016/17 GLOUCESTER PARK PACER OF THE YEAR – CHICAGO BULL MS PACE LETS CHASE THE DREAM (5) had his first start for the Hall camp last week when he had to run a quick lead time to hold the lead and then couldn’t hold off Thereugo at the finish. He should be fitter for that run and his class should take him a long way. HARRY HOO (1) was a solid winner in inferior company last week and has the draw to offset the rise in class. IDEAL TYSON (8) led when a brave 2nd in 1.53.7 last week but will have to work from this draw. EL HOMBRE (2) is always thereabouts in this company and must be considered. Tips: 5 1 8 2 Suggested Bet: LETS CHASE THE DREAM (5) to win. Race 7: SPRING PACE IDEAL ALICE (1) led throughout to win five starts back in easier company and has performed well in her subsequent runs. She looks the leader and will be hard to catch but the 2536m journey is of some concern. BEAUDIENE BOAZ (11) had his chance last week but is capable of much better if he happens to be on song. MY HARD COPY (5) hasn’t had much luck at his first two runs back from a spell but can improve tonight. SPRINTER (8) was a strong winner in weaker company last week and should be finishing strongly. Tips: 1 11 5 8 Suggested Bet: IDEAL ALICE (1) to win. Race 8: 2017 TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION STARTS NOV 24 THE WARWICK QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MS PACE LIVURA (3) has had a month away from the racetrack after being a strong winner in similar company. He is the best drawn of the main chances and can use his barrier to advantage. BETTOR NOT BITTER (10) broke twice in running before flashing home to finish 4th last week and is the obvious danger despite the back line draw. OUR JABARI (9) has a horror barrier but is the other class runner of the field. FIREBRACE (1) only has average recent form but can be placed from the pole. Tips: 3 10 9 1 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (3) to win. Race 9: TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION GRAND FINAL BARRIER DRAW – SUNDAY 3RD DECEMBER WESTBRED MS PACE THEREUGO (6) has won four of his last five starts, running quick time in all of them. He couldn’t find the front last week but burst past Lets Chase The Dream in the run to the line and should have little trouble leading and winning here. ABRAXAS BLUES (2) is racing well and will be suited by settling close to the lead. SHIRLZ SENSATION (8) was a good 6th to THEREUGO (6) last start but has drawn poorly again. GLOW BRIGHT (1) will get a nice run and can be placed. Tips: 6 2 8 1 Suggested Bet: THEREUGO (6) to win. Race 10: TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION GALA DINNER – WEDNESDAY 6TH DECEMBER MS PACE WABI SABI (1) has finished near the rear at his last five starts but can improve against this ordinary field. He has been taking on harder assignments and will appreciate the pole draw. YACKANDANDAH (8) was a good 2nd three starts back and must be considered despite the barrier. PARAMEDIC (3) hasn’t won for over three years but could give them something to catch if he finds the front. READY FOR TAKEOFF (6) was held up last week and is ready to show his best after two runs back from a spell. Tips: 1 8 3 6 Suggested Bet: WABI SABI (1) each way. Bet Now
