Deane’s Flemington Saturday Preview Posted on June 10, 2016June 13, 2016 | Posted by Deane Lester Deane Lester’s Preview RACE 4 NO. 5 TIME TO TEST TIME TO TEST should be ready to peak at his third run back from a spell and makes plenty of appeal when he contests the Ken Cox Handicap (1800m). The Tony McEvoy trained gelding showed that he is close to a win with a brave second behind AMARELA over 1800 metres at Flemington on May 21. He was jumping from 1400 metres on that occasion so he should be fitter for that run. He is drawn for a sweet run and gets the services of in-form rider Luke Currie so everything looks in place for TIME TO TEST to return to winning form. RACE 6 NO. 8 WHOOP WHOOP Lightly raced stayer WHOOP WHOOP has made good improvement in his short career to date and looks the one to beat when he runs in the Craftsman Handicap (2000m). The three year old was most impressive winning his maiden over 1600 metres at Cranbourne on April 29 before an unlucky third behind LOYALTY MAN over 1600 metres at Flemington on May 21. Whilst this is his first try at this distance, the son of Savabeel gives every indication that he will relish this trip and looks to have more upside than his rivals. RACE 8 NO. 10 OLIVIER OLIVIER has returned to racing in stunning form and looks a great chance to complete four consecutive wins when he contests the Jezzabeel Handicap (1000m). The five year old has been dominant in two wins over 1100 metres at Caulfield in recent weeks and has been freshened since his dominant victory on May 14. Whilst this is a slight class rise, he stays down in the weights and appears drawn for a sweet run. It’s a race of good depth and several legitimate winning chances, however OLIVIER can be expected to run well again. Bet Now
