Chris’ Doomben Best Bets Posted on January 19, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 3 No. 13 Iowa Chris Waller trained galloper who has been nothing but consistent since being transferred to the champion trainer’s Gold Coast satellite stable. Yes he’s officially up in grade however he beat all bar the very promising Savwell here last start and his opposition tomorrow doesn’t appear overly strong, the way he finishes off his races I’d suggest he’ll take a ton of holding out late. Big chance! SuperPick - Race 3 No. 13 Iowa - Win Boost RACE 6 No. 1 Desmon’s Pride Gold Coast trained galloper who has raced 8 times this prep with 7 of those outings being on his home circuit. His latest effort in a race suited to the on-pacers he was clearly the best of the run on brigade closing the winner down to less than a length on the line. He was also the only runner in the race to break 33 seconds for his last 600m. Although yet to start here at Doomben I’m more than happy to take the punt and have something each-way. RACE 8 No. 4 Oink Market drifter first up at the Gold Coast in a race which heavily suited those racing up handy or on the pace. That worked against him yet he still found the line quite ok late. Kept fresh apart from a recent soft Deagon barrier trial he finds a race tomorrow with better than genuine speed, watch for him to be charging over the top of them late!
