Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Preview Posted on March 24, 2016March 24, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 4 No.2 Malaguerra Victorian trained visitor who is clearly racing in the best form of his career perhaps thanks to being gelded some time back. He’s won 5 of his past 6 starts, carries some of the best form lines going around and will no doubt strip even fitter of the first up win down the Flemington straight 3 weeks ago. Drawn the inside gate, Golden Slipper winning jockey Black Shinn rides, plenty of ticks! RACE 5 No.7 Old North Sticking with this Lonhro colt from the Godolphin yard who had little luck here last start when unable to gain clear running at a vital stage of the race. Once clear he did find the line in good fashion and should appreciate the decent step up in distance here. James McDonald should give this one every chance from the good alley and he looks great value. RACE 8 No.4 Badawiya Mick Price trained filly up from Melbourne who was a last start Group 2 Flemington winner over 1400m. That was her first run since clocking in 3rd at Caulfield last spring in the 1000 Guineas. Drawn a good gate tomorrow for Craig Newitt she should land the run of the race and will no doubt strip even fitter for the first up effort.
