I’ siding with THE MOVE who should land a good spot off the pace however not too far away, his trials have been against solid opposition & he’s won twice fresh. LE PALMIER draws poorly & I’m not sure where he’ll end up in the run, he’s the best horse in the race though. Honestly any of these could win without surprising. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet: Box up top 4 selections in exotics RACE 2 Thought THE DRILLER may be worth a few dollars each-way here at the double-figure odds. He’s hit the line strongly his last couple & should be suited by the step up to 2400m with no weight on his back. CLYDE hasn’t been far away of late; APPLICATIONS is a risk at the trip however racing well. Note the Waller stable has decided to run the in-form AL AABIR here over Gosford, that’s a positive pointer. Numbers: 13 – 7 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet: THE DRILLER EACH-WAY (small) RACE 3 Big field to go around in The Bracelet however in my opinion there’s two clear winning chances being WOLVERINE & STREET GOSSIP. Both come out of the same last start race run at Doomben 2 weeks back with the former rattling home off a wide draw into 3rd & the latter sitting 3 deep without cover throughout yet winning comfortably! Barriers have made the decision easy; STREET GOSSIP lands the gun run, WOLVERINE will race back, wide or both. SUPER CHILLED an improver, MADAM ODETTE was solid last start. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet: STREET GOSSIP TO WIN RACE 4 Interesting race with plenty of Sydney influence. I’m staying local & suggesting something each-way the Gold Coast filly TRIFLING who always seems to be running on in her races. She did exactly that last start which suggested further has to be her go however with a 7-week break heading into this she’ll be nice & fresh, look for her to be rattling home. NAMESAKE only just lasted to win on debut, wiser though & lands a gun run from the perfect draw. INFLUENTUAL was also good on debut. Numbers: 12 – 7 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet: TRIFLING EACH-WAY (small) RACE 5 TYCOON EVIE will likely start favourite here & although I do have her on top I couldn’t take anything under $4 & would rather back her each-way in such a big & competitive field. Both runs in group company have been good & she did win 3rd up a couple of preps back. LOVE SENSATION resumes from a perfect draw. Big market watch on the ex-French mare OSMOSE who has had a couple of decent lead up trials & is certainly in good hands. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 13 – 16 Suggested Bet: Box up top 4 selections in exotics RACE 6 With FASHION LEGEND set to go around at Gosford in the Takeover Target the door is wide open for the promising YELLOW BRICK to make a winning return. He went down narrowly in the Magic Millions Guineas after settling further back than expected & just didn’t travel in his usual manner at any stage yet still almost won. Loved his recent trial & from the gate he’ll be right up on the speed if not in front. No knock LADY LAGUNA who looks like box seating once again, she has strong form lines through Aft Cabin. Include LUBRICATION at odds who will be running on. Numbers: 2 – 12 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet: YELLOW BRICK TO WIN RACE 7 Feature today is the Group 2 Hollindale Stakes where ZAAKI will be shooting for 3 straight wins in the race. Thought it was between he & the in-form mare ATISHU who was so good second up after putting the writing on the wall when resuming. The way this plays out on paper though ZAAKI is the only known on-pacer, should something surprise us & roll forward that will still leave ZAAKI with the run of the race. ATISHU may push on? Her pattern is to get back though & she has drawn deep, should she go back early the race will be as good as over. Numbers: 1 – 14 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet: ZAAKI TO WIN RACE 8 Suggest we’re looking at each-way odds the field here. I’m going very wide putting the quality mare ME ME LAGARDE on top at a decent price. She’s very good fresh however more importantly she’s very effective on dry ground which will be the surface today, trialled well she only needs a gap in the straight to give this a shake. FAR TOO EASY the toughest to beat, big win fresh lumping 60kg sitting wide throughout. Tempo looks strong, that will bring BRIGANTINE into the race as he’s likely to give away a big start from the wide draw. Numbers: 16 – 5 – 13 – 12 Suggested Bet: ME ME LAGARDE (each-way small) RACE 9 Sticking with the in form ALBURQ in this final race. Just missed out last start however he may have been one run short over the mile which he stays at this afternoon. Plenty will be riding ROUSSEAU home who was totally luckless gaining a run his last start, first up run was encouraging, he looks close. AUSSIE NUGGET was very good closing along the fence fresh, fitter & up in trip should suit. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 3 – 15 Suggested Bet: BACKING BOTH ALBURQ/ROUSSEAU TO WIN Market Market
