Chris Nelson’s Scone Best Bets Posted on May 10, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets Race 1 No.2 Wild Planet Team Hawkes trained galloper who looks well placed in the Guineas tomorrow. Only looks to really have the one main rival (Military Zone) and while his form is good this one’s is better coning through Group races placing at Flemington on Derby Day. His latest effort in the South Pacific was a good one after sitting wide throughout. Looks the one to beat. RACE 6 No.10 Cadogan Locally trained sprinter who ran an even race first up at Eagle Farm which was fairly much what was expected as he doesn’t generally fire on all cylinders fresh. He can improve sharply second up though and going on his smart performances last campaign he’s well up to competing at this level. This track will suit his strong finish with its long run home. RACE 8 No.12 After All That Locally trained galloper who resumes tomorrow holding a solid first up record. Beaten a length at his past two first up attempts behind some nice types closing off strongly without the best of luck he strikes a race which looks to have good speed. He’ll settled back in the field before moving to the outside in the straight, another one suited by the long run home he’ll get close late. Should be great each-way value.
