Caught out last in a sprint home last start on the Kensington track he did a good job to get within a length of the winner, more tempo, bigger track, this is far more suitable. FETCH seems to draw well more often than not & here she is again likely landing the box seat run. Main danger. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 7 – 12 Suggested Bet: HEADWALL TO WIN RACE 2 BISCAYNE BAY placed in a VRC Oaks in her 3yo season & her two runs in Sydney this prep suggests she’s ready to win. She’s had a couple of average campaigns since those successful earlier days however looks to be back on track now & this isn’t hard. AL AABIR is only lightly raced however shows good promise & is firing on all cylinders this prep. Didn’t mind the run of KALAPOUR last start, he’s getting close. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet: BISCAYNE BAY TO WIN RACE 3 Really not too keen on this race however at the odds I did think SECRET TALES could run well. She’s not the most honest of racehorses however this prep she’s been quite consistent, although unplaced last start there were reasons for that. ULTIMATE PRIDE the logical danger, in form & box seats from the ideal draw. CHARGE ON is very consistent, complete unknown out to this trip though. Numbers: 4 – 13 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet: SECRET TALES EACH-WAY (small) RACE 4 Not a great draw for MISHANI GANGSTER however I’m going to stick with him. His effort in the Jewel was outstanding stuck out on a limb the entire trip yet still giving his winning stablemate a run for his money. ROTHGO won a trial by a long way before debuting with a Sunshine Coast win beating TRICKETEER who is also engaged here. SZABO’s two wins have been very good, will have to step it up a notch or two today. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet: Box up first 4 in exotics RACE 5 THE DROVER resumed recently with a fast closing second at Doomben behind the flying Situation Room who seems to win on a near two weekly basis. He can pull out a run fresh & is a second up winner, should he run up to that or his form last prep he’ll take some beating here. The Currie stable have RAVAGED AWARD & MAGIC CHARLEE engaged, both are good odds & worth throwing into exotics. Numbers: 4 – 16 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet: Box up first 4 in exotics RACE 6 Premier trainer Tony Gollan sends around the above average COUNT DA BEANS first up & he’s going to take a power of beating. He trialled at Doomben on Tuesday morning topping him off nicely for his first up tilt & keep in mind he’s a winner & placegetter (behind Yellow Brick) at his only two fresh outings to date. BILLIONAIR BABY is well above average, nothing went right for her last prep, she’ll be steaming home. INVINCIBLE COURAGE, TICK TOCK QUEEN (drawn wide) & KAT CHINNA all in the mix. Numbers: 14 – 8 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet: COUNT DE BEANS TO WIN RACE 7 KIPSBAY created a huge impression winning here recently doing it both ends of the race running slick overall time. He’s got some good on-speed company here through the likes of ANTINO & EXTREMIST however he holds the race fitness edge & I’ll stick with him although wouldn’t be launching into an odds-on quote. PALLADAS looks overs, worth including in exotics. Numbers: 6 – 8 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet: Box up first 4 in exotics RACE 8 The Listed Daybreak Lover is a really, good competitive race. I’m with the lightly raced however very promising SPEAK UP who did win here over this 1400m trip two starts back, she then returned home & easily accounted for her rivals in the wet at Hawkesbury. Like the way she finds the line & she’s got a ton of upside. No knock EKATERINA or WOLVERINE whilst WAITAK if forward enough is capable of knocking them all out late. Numbers: 11 – 9 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet: SPEAK UP EACH-WAY RACE 9 The Listed Ascot Handicap is a complete raffle with so many horses resuming from a break. I’ll lean to ROTHFIRE who has trialled ok & has a very good first up record, his runs at the beginning of his last prep were very good in stronger races than this down south. SOXAGON seems big odds for a horse with a good draw & solid fresh record. Any number of winning chances in this, could probably make a case for nearly all of them. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet: Just watching Market Market
