Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Best Bets

RACE 5 No.7 Per Inaway

Lightly raced former Kiwi mare who raced very well at her initial Australian campaign registering a win, placing and close up fourth from only the three outings. The win came first up which is where she’s at prep wise on Saturday. Her recent trial was a good one at Newcastle only going down narrowly. Look for any positive market support.

RACE 7 No.12 Sheeza Belter

No doubt fitter for the first up run in the 2-million-dollar race run at Randwick a couple of weeks ago. She wasn’t far away beaten just over 3 lengths and didn’t have the clearest of passages down the straight. She’ll take a lot of benefit from that hit out and finds an easier race on Saturday. With no weight and a decent gate, she can return to her Brisbane winter carnival form.

RACE 8 No.2 Laws Of Indices

The 2 million dollar 5 Diamonds is the highlight of the meeting. I’m with this Annabel Neasham trained galloper who comes back from three runs this prep all at group 1 level. He was less than 3 lengths from Anamoe last time out in the Cox Plate, note the Melbourne Cup winner Gold trip finished next in order. I can see a cold ride from Hugh Bowman coming wide in the straight and running right over the leaders.
