RACE 2 No.5 Bullet Speed

I’ve been waiting for this one to show up after his somewhat disappointing first up effort at Ipswich back in mid-October. Having trialled well leading in he was well supported however led (not usual) failing to offer much in the run to the line. At his only other run and with his trials he’d been ridden off the speed before pouncing in the straight to win with good authority. He can bounce back tomorrow under those tactics.

Race 4 No.9 Brazilica

Lightly raced mare from the Chris Waller yard who ran very well first up at Canterbury when resuming from a break (bled) a couple of weeks back settling behind the pace before finding the front in the straight only to be run down over the latter stages. She’s going to strip a great deal fitter and won’t be troubled by the additional 100m. Drop in weight and engagement of James McDonald won’t harm either.

Race 5 No.7 Asharani

Throw at the stumps with this resuming mare from the Kris Lees stable who can really produce a whirlwind finish on her day. She is yet to be beaten first up from a break and has had a couple of lead up trials to ready her for tomorrow’s assignment. Looking for some positive market support however if not is still worth a spec each-way.
