Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on September 30, 2021October 4, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 5 No.1 Think It Over There certainly doesn’t appear to be many winning chances in the Group 2 Hill Stakes with this very consistent Kerry Parker trained galloper heading the market and based on his gallant third in the George Main this does look the perfect race for him. He parked wide on that occasion before giving plenty in the straight to go down by less than a length behind the 9 time Group 1 winning mare Verry Elleegant. He has winning form over this longer trip, handles all types of going and gets his chance to make it 2 from 4 this prep. RACE 8 No.16 Harmony Rose Going for one at big odds in the Group 1 Epsom. This mare has won or placed at 6 of her 8 starts and her first up run here in the Bill Ritchie was better than it appears on paper as she didn’t really get much of a crack at the opposition over the concluding stages. Second up last prep she ran 3rd in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas followed up by a game second behind Hungry Heart in the Vinery when leading for a long way. Poor gate however the map says she’s a good chance of getting across behind the speed and scoring a better run than most expect. RACE 9 No.12 She’s Ideel Bjorn Baker trained mare who bounced back to her best form with a win in the Kingston Town here last start when enjoying the run of the race and never really looking like she was going to be beaten. She won’t get that same run however she still rates highly on that effort, her first up placing in the Winx Stakes and a terrific second in the Group 1 Tancred here in the autumn.
