Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on August 31, 2018August 31, 2018 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets Race 3 No.6 Tristan De Angel Trained by the ‘King of the Highway’ Matt Dunn this lightly raced gelding resumes from a break and judging on his lead up trial win at Murwillumbah has been set for a first up tilt. He won his first two starts in good style on the Northern Rivers before running into trouble his only two other outings Doomben and Ipswich. Obviously the money trail will be all important however if there’s support around I’d be keen to follow it. RACE 6 No.4 Pierata Really proved himself first up beating the much hyped Kementari in the Missile. His form in Queensland last prep was second to none and he just seems to keep raising the bar at each appearance. He does face some decent opposition tomorrow (Le Romain etc.) however make no mistake he’s well up to it and from a good draw should get the right run for an in-form James McDonald. RACE 9 No.9 Another Dollar The double figure odds about this one resuming certainly appeal. Put in some terrific efforts in Queensland over the winter beating all bar Youngstar at her final two appearance before heading off for a rest. She came a very long way in a short space of time and given a nice soft trial recently she could well be forward enough to run a big race. One to keep on the safe side.
