Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on October 16, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 3 No.1 Looks Like Elvis Big drop back in grade for this one who looks to be going around over the odds. Yes he’s rising in weight however he has won with big imposts in the past (up to 60kg) and from the good alley should gain a soft run in behind the speed. Beaten less than 2 lengths his last 3 starts with two of those Group 2 and the other Group 1 surely he goes very close to winning back to this level. RACE 5 No.14 It’s Me One of the highlights of the day is The Kosciuszko with this unbeaten mare looking to make it 4 wins from as many starts and I’m confident she can. Nothing but impressive all outings to date she just parks away off the speed before being brought to the outside in the straight, once in the clear she lets down with a big finish quickly claiming her rivals before coasting clear to the line. The step to 1200m holds no fears, expect similar again! RACE 7 No.3 Classique Legend The big one of the day is of course The Everest and I’m going with the grey who has had this race on his radar since last year when it likely came around too soon. This time however the stable has geared everything around landing the major prize and his lead ups have been timed perfectly. Loved his run in the Premiere when racing wide without cover beating all bar the winner. Perfect gate and his jock certainly knows how to win this race.
